The private funeral for Rayshard Brooks is held at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta. Family attorney L. Chris Stewart announced last week that Tyler Perry would be paying for the funeral costs.

Mourners paid tribute to Brooks at his public viewing Monday at the same church in Atlanta, which was also Martin Luther King Jr.'s church. Meanwhile, the officer charged in connection to Brooks' death said Tuesday that he "didn't do anything wrong."

There was NO ground at all to kill Rayshard Brooks by police. He didn’t have a weapon and wasn’t a threat to them. But the police was definitely a threat to him and killed him. He was running away from police. This was not a reason to kill him.
