Either they dont care/or dont realize a pardon is basically an admission of guilt. But they don’t cover state crimes.
The NY state AG is really investigating Trump and his associates. The AG of DC is looking into Trumps daughter re: Trumps inauguration event. All state or district charges. Doesn’t look good for Trump.
