  1. This is exactly the point. The minister nailed it. Liberals staked out the absolute best position on climate change – the most popular, the most fair, the most effective, and the most widely agreed as the winning policy by economists. I am an ambiguous voter and this idea is shunned by Conservatives.

    1. @Bill Morison hey don’t cry, this will all be over before you know it. Your next car will be a hybrid, full electric, or gasoline/diesel but your next car after that, will only be electric. All you gotta do is look at which is cheaper for you and buy that. You’ll get through this.

    2. Pollution is literally the example most used in economics textbooks of an externality and economic textbooks describe attributing a cost to externalities artificially through regulatory taxation as the only practical solution to the inability of capitalism to address externalities. The conservative politicians fanning their supporters hatred of the carbon tax is just treating their supporters as naive and uneducated.

  2. Liberals take far fetched ideas and calling it science that the average person can’t figure out. Maybe we’re just not on the same planet as them.

  3. As well when you look at green tech like solar , or wind are basically frauds. And both use lots of petroleum to make and mine.

  4. The reason why the government didn’t stop Covid from coming into the country and controlling it properly they don’t wanna have to pay out the old age pension because Canada is in so much debt and financial ruin

  5. Yes effect is the question. So with the numbers please keep in touch with public how well it is working into the future. How the numbers show greenhouse gases are going down and saving the planet. Because Canadians are giving the world a new lease on life. Lmfao.

  6. What conservative supporters forget or rather never realized is that pollution is literally the example of an externality most commonly given as an example in economics textbooks and attributing a cost by regulatory means such as a tax is discussed as the only practical solution to such an externality. Conservative politicians are treating their supporters as naive and uneducated by fanning hatred against the carbon tax.
