Ray Liotta, known for his iconic gangster roles in movies such as “Goodfellas”, died in his sleep while filming a new movie in the Dominican Republic.

His publicist, Jennifer Allen, confirmed to USA TODAY that Liotta died while filming the upcoming movie "Dangerous Waters." His fiancée, Jacy Nittolo, was on location with him.

I’m in shock. What happened. He was such a sweet humble man. I met him once years ago. Someone you could never forget. He had the most beautiful eyes, they just mesmerized you. Rest in peace dear friend.
