Why was he concerned? Because Flynn was apparently a security risk and he didn’t want to see that become an issue later.
The secret meetings are about him trying to address the problem before it became public. It would have looked worse if he was publicly appearing to interfere with an incoming President’s choice of advisors. I am sure that there would be those on both sides who would see it as an attempt at sabotage. He did quietly warn trump that there was an issue.
Obama was correct in both his action and inaction.
Your point is absolutely mute since Flynn admitted to lying about his communications with the Russians.

What scares me is that 12% of all Bernie voters voted tRump in 2016. New poll says 15% of Bernie voters will vote tRump in 2020 because they hate Biden. My question is … WTF is wrong with those people? I don’t think they care. I think they just want to create chaos. And they have. They put tRump over the top in 2016. They met their goal.

@B.B. – Ahhh … but you are wrong. We are a democratic republic. For instance, Republicans hang their hat on the electoral college because, since 1988, only 1 Republican has been elected President by popular vote. However … big however … the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact has been ratified in enough states to need only 74 more votes to pass the law that the electoral college is … DEAD. I’ve been following this initiative since over 110 votes were needed. Here’s the kicker. Many red states are passing this initiative. OK … good reading. You should check it out. It proves that we are a democracy and a republic at the same time. The candidate with the most votes will win, someday. The presidency is the only office in the nation that is not determined by a majority vote … aka … The Will Of The People.

We are a republic that practices democracy.
Yeah conservativism is founded in lingering monarchist/aristocratic understandings so they think some form of hierarchy is ‘natural’ and democracies and access to abortions/condoms/birth control/gun laws/regulation-in-general shouldn’t work, so they oppose them.
@ra5928 Part of that was a sentiment whipped up by Russian operations, same with some people who voted for that third party candidate (i recall that woman was strangely in the same photo that had Mike Flynn next to Putin.)
