There are no cracks in the current republican party.
Their base has its conspiracy theories, anti-minority ideals, and a blinding love for guns that clouds voting for their best self-interests. And their leaders can keep pandering to corporations and be corrupt without any accountability.

I’ve been saying it for decades: repubs break economy, dems fix it. populace becomes complacent with good economy, dems don’t show up enough to vote, minority of voters vote repubs back in. repubs break economy again, cycle repeats. been that way since at least reagan.
@Datoneredneck S The one key issue that 45* has been clinging to for two years is his argument that the economy is booming. Set aside for the moment the fact that that isn’t true: many critical indicators such as wage growth and job creation are lagging (and trailing Obama’s record).
But 45* has been using the stock market as his evidence of a strong economy. That, of course, demonstrates his ignorance of economics. The stock market only reflects the value of equities that are mainly traded by giant financial institutions. It is only one gauge of the economy’s health.
Also, we have the 2nd longest Bull market in history…that Obama helped create in 2009, and the stock market performed better in Obama’s last year than in 45*’s reign as it has steadily declined, so even if the stock market performance was the sole indicator of the health of the economy, it has been negatively effected by 45*, due to his tariff war, tax cut/welfare for the rich, and instability.

Trump isn’t going to lose in the primaries. But these challengers will certainly do some damage to Trump’s re-election prospects before the general election. These primary challengers will likely help the Democratic nominee in November.

If the Dems run Biden and the Repubs run Weld, I am voting for Weld. My candidate is Warren. I will only vote for Biden if I must to keep Trump out. And I am a lifelong Dem.
