Gov. Hogan: Congress Leaders Were ‘Pleading For Help’ From National Guard | Andrea Mitchell | MSNBC

Governor Larry Hogan (R-MD) describes his call with Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-MD) while the Capitol was under attack, who he says was "pleading for help" as he was huddled with Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi in the Capitol bunkers. But for more than an hour, Hogan was unable to send in national guard troops because he "didn't have authorization yet" from the Pentagon. Aired on 01/08/2021.

    1. @Nick Knittle hahahahaha if you want stimulus vote democrat fool, the only party blocking stimulus are the publicans

    2. @Knyght Ryder congress takes two to tango. You have the IQ of a soap dish if you think either party does things for our best interest.

    3. @Nick Knittle hahahaha the whining baby emerges, let me guess you have it too rough in this first world paradise hahahahaha yeah you really deserve more , highest consumption per capita on the planet , but it’s never enough so you want chaos to get even more ,sad sad babies following trump ! The backlash from this is unfathomable, donors and corporations are pulling funding for anyone allied with trump, Nazis storming the capitol to prevent legislatures from preforming their job is bad for business ,,,,,,, this may be the end of GOP victories for decades ,actually the only thing that could have saved the GOP would have been impeaching trump during the Muhler probe , letting Pence take over , you know a conservative who is actually a conservative ,you know someone who could actually be a lawyer and could actually you know read a book or briefing hahahahaa too late to such bro

    1. Governor Hogan exemplifies what a political leader is supposed to be not those fascist, racist, self-serving, right-wing criminals occupying our government in the Senate and the House!

    1. @Rachel Garber Not according to the national guard themselves, they couldn’t reach anyone in the Whitehouse for authorization. Trump lied about sending help immediately, he could’ve but he stalled for hours.

    2. @Rachel Garber See, you are one of those that believe everything Trump says. Trump NEVER gave orders to send in help. He lied, yes in a speech on live tv once again lied.

    3. @Carol Perdue EXACTLY!! However, let’s not put off possible innocents like Jeffery Anderson for disagreeing with us on one point. So far, from Anderson’s posts, I don’t see him being a Trumpturd traitor.

    4. @Jeffery Anderson from the link u gave…it kinda makes sense how she did not request any help at the time..fearing for the presence of unidentified military/authority figures, who could use the mob attack as a way to cause more damage and harm.
And the unbelievable thing is..even today, those unidentified authority ppl and those who KIDNAPPED activists/protesters have yet been identified or explained to the public…

    1. @skyywalkrable Trump was hiding after he invoked the riot because he lost the election then like always he throwred his supporters under the bus said they should pay for what they did he is a very sick individual he brained washed these people and now there is dead people for this it’s on Trump

    2. @Barb Schaefer for one he did not brainwash me I have my own mind and free will and I believe my first amendment and God I don’t think he incited that problem at the Capitol them was all citizens of America who are tired of the BS of our crooked government and them are people who make their own choices to do right and wrong So for anybody want to say that Trump incited the so call riots imma let you know you should the almighty God gave everybody common sense to do what’s right and wrong but if you let people brainwash you you ain’t nothing but a puppet

    3. @skyywalkrable Exactly. Lots of people have let themselves be brainwashed by Donald Trump and his ‘stolen election’ lie simply because he repeated it over and over and over again with no evidence at all to back it up. It’s terrible and the sooner they come back to their senses the better.

    1. The whole GOP should be caged and sent to Iran. Would be a good gift to help restore relations. Let Iran try these guys in their courts. They’ll get the job done.

    2. @Grand Wonder I’d like to see that, but I don’t think it’s realistic. Certainly they deserve it.

  1. Christopher C. Miller is the Acting Secretary of Defense and he was refusing to take calls while the insurgence was attacking Congress.
(Miller can call for the National Guard)

    1. @Chris D – And after he strung them along long enough to collect as much money in donations, as he could from them.

    2. @FaZe NBK Deploying the guard to the capitol is a decision at the federal level. By people appointed by Trump, and ultimately it’s Trump who would be responsible.

    3. @FaZe NBK – no State Governor has the authority to deploy the guard outside of their jurisdiction. That has to come from the federal level.

    1. @kraken Stomp
      Lmaoooooo
Cumrade Bogatishev skabeeva my hilarious goleeeboi
I’m just here to laff at you , now go kiss queen vladz for me 😘😂😘

    1. @Jason I don’t even want the 25th. He can run again that way. Impeachment can prevent that. They’ll have their vote in the House next week, but the Senate trial won’t happen til after the 20th. 😉

    2. @Toni Horn Wouldn’t the 25th be a much stronger response than mere useless impeachment do?
      What good does impeachment do?

    3. @The Ultimate Reductionist as stated above, he can run for office again, which he’s already threatening to do. An impeachment prevents him from running for ANY office ever again. AND he doesn’t get any of the perks, health insurance, etc. I don’t want my tax dollars going to supply this guy with so much as a bandaid.

    4. because that’s the deeper story and it’s hard for people to see past just blaming the rioters, DC cops, etc.

    1. The truth is it was a delay caused by DT, he didn’t respond nor want NG to show. DT and friends were cheering this on. It was actually Pence who gave activation ok. Not a fan of Pence, but if you notice Pence has not talked to uncle Donnie since.

    2. @RRocr you’re making too much out of this. Trump has no plan. He’s not that smart. Why would he want to put Pence in harms way plus none of this crew knows who are republicans or democrats.

    1. You don’t have to imagine at all friend; take a look at the unarmed black men, women, and children senselessly murdered by “cops” without punishment. Murdering them in full view of cameras (many off camera) and onlookers and still getting away with it. Just more notches on their pistols and possibly saying I got another one today. That, my friend, is the reason for the BLM (Black Lives Matter) movement which, by the way, includes people of all colors and backgrounds.

  2. Didn’t t•••• replace the head of the national guard with one of his bootlicker buddies?
    Coincidence?

    1. Cant believe I’m saying this about a Potus, but thank you for not spelling out that traitors name.

  3. Trump should be held accountable for stopping the national guard from responding. That is absolutely dispacable.

  4. My new theme song for the republican party is Ozzy….”I’m going off the rails on a crazy train” and I say good riddance to bad rubbish.

  5. And if it is ‘only’ for this, knowingly exposing Congress and Senate to violence, it demands removal. LOCK HIM UP

  6. Obviously National Guard is only used for Photo ops at Churches during peaceful protests and when the people aren’t beige.

    1. @Growing and Showing During BLM and other protests, governors can call in the troops … Not in DC. During trump’s idiotic gassing of peaceful US citizens, the feds did his or his rep’s bidding.

    2. @Growing and Showing

No, it’s not. My skin colour has nothing to do with it. I’m not ignorant. You are. Wake up.

    1. @BWeav10 Lawrence Joseph Hogan Jr. is an American politician. A member of the Republican Party, he has served as the 62nd Governor of Maryland since 2015. Hogan ran unsuccessful campaigns for Maryland’s 5th congressional district in 1981 and 1992, the latter of which was incumbent Steny Hoyer’s closest race.Wikipedia

    2. Yes!!! I am an independent living in Maryland and he is just a great politician. Remember he wouldn’t let Trump Bully him! Lol during Covid and everything… they have truly kept us in the loop about everything . Impressive job.

    1. Just remember, it was the Democrat leadership that denied additional support that was offered 4 days ago. The liberal media seems to be conveniently ignoring this fact.

    2. @BWeav10 Sure they did, sure the Democrat leadership has the power to decide that for the entire Capitol when the president or VP were required to authorise NG deployment when it was already happening.

You’re convincing no one that visits this channel seriously.

The ones that do so to ‘troll libs’ don’t need convincing – ergo you are wasting your time tovarich.
