Gov. Newsom: We Developed A Little Amnesia, We’ve Forgotten The Virulence Of This Virus | MSNBC

  1. The answer to her very first question should have been…”Because we’re not idiots.” 🤷🏻‍♂️

    1. Good.
Stop using all service provided by others.
Oh…..so you want others to work, you to do nothing, and others to take risks.

  2. One of the few Americans who respects science ,human lives , safety and security more than economy , markets , American exceptionalism..

    1. @Jae Kim …oh.

It’s my *opinion* that people with serious or terminal illnesses are avoiding hospitals, are having their scans postponed…and their operations postponed…and it’s my *opinion* that suicides related to economic downturns increase deaths…ok.

So I haven’t given you the name of the Chief Medical Officer of England — Professor Chris Whitty?

And you can’t google his name in relation to lockdown policies causing deaths?

I’m not really sure if you can be helped then.

Get someone else to do it for you and tell you what they find, x.

If you have further problems…don’t worry…

You’re not completely inept or anything…

Give me a shout next time you use the bathroom…and I’ll come round and wipe your backside for you as well…

    2. @Dekan Elad …I haven’t mentioned Trump, pal.

      Stick to the subject, kid.

Why are you mentioning his pubes?

      Great point, though.

      Well done.

    3. @Shirley Mccrindle …I haven’t contradicted myself in the slightest.

“he has also said lockdown is working”

      Working to achieve what?

“Chris Whitty also said lockdown has slowed the transmission rate down”

      I haven’t claimed that he didn’t…

      And…

      So what?

“he has merely said that yes there will be casualties either way u go”

      Absolutely.

      But to *what extent?*

So far lockdown is killing people at a ratio of around 5 deaths to every 1 covid death.

That’s Prof. Chris Whitty’s number — not mine.

He said as it stands there will be 150,000 completely avoidable deaths in the UK *due to lockdown.*

And there is *zero* evidence that lockdowns decrease deaths due to covid…indeed, extending the disease cycle will *increase covid deaths…*

Lockdowns were only hypothesised to slow down the *rate* of deaths, to help the medical services — not the *number* of deaths…

And now all of the evidence shows that they do no good whatsoever.

So what “angle” am I missing?

    4. @Rene Curry Lockdowns cost lives.

The longer the lockdown — the more avoidable deaths there are from both lockdown *and* covid.

Masks and gloves for the public make zero difference — how could they?

If you have any scientific evidence to the contrary — I would be grateful to see it.

    5. @Allan Burns nonsense? I have an important medical problem right now and I’m unable to get it addressed and it something that I might actually die from. I think the statistics you’re hoping that I show you are right behind my zipper

  3. A racist, an adulterer, and a criminal walk into a McDonald’s…
The cashier asks, “What can I get you Mr. Trump?

    1. @Ann van de Kew in your wildest dreams you wish anyone would copulate with you. The mask you wear isn’t enough, you’re what they call a double bagger in case one breaks.

    2. @Cory Allen , Hey senile Gramps,
You’re only going to get so many boners in your life.
Sad that you wasted them all.

    3. @Cory Allen , Hey dunce,
I’m not RUSSIAN to conclusions, but I think Trump is a puppet.
Just PUTIN it out there. You don’t like it; CRIMEA river.

  4. comparing newsom to trump is like day to night. . a pretty bright guy to an absolute moron. he will be a future president

    1. Not in this country he won’t be. Lots of morons here. They vote based on reality show popularity & bumper sticker rhetoric.

  5. COVID-19: “Americans suffer from what’s known as chronic amnesia. Most Americans can’t even recall what happened last month, let alone what happened last week. For a virus like myself, this only works in my favor. History does have a reputation for repeating itself, especially for those with chronic amnesia. And history happens to be a close relative of mine. I also have a habit of repeating myself, the same way my cousin history repeats itself. It’s not always easy making true believers out of everyone, but we try.” 😆

    1. Americans are too busy surviving, working, stressed in a constant state of ptsd to remember anything or they are trying to numb everything out.

  6. Wait, why did the video cut off before he was finished talking about how we’ve already developed amnesia? Especially since that was the title??

  7. If you lose your job, you still have a chance to get a job later. If you lose your life, that’s forever gone.

    1. itchydiscoman Again, the point is that you’re not just taking a risk yourself. You’re also forcing your community to take a risk that will permanently damage many and some will not survive. If you were alone on the road you could drive as fast as you wanted but because you share that space you have a responsibility to the others there. The big problem is that your federal government is providing no support to people like you. If you look at the other wealthy countries, they are paying people directly to be safe, they are supporting companies so they can continue to pay workers and be able to reopen when it’s safe, everyone has access to healthcare so they come for testing and treatment instead of fearing catastrophic debt if they get care and on and on. If the billions given to huge corporations had instead been invested in people you wouldn’t have to choose between losing your home and risking your coworkers’ and family’s lives

    2. @itchydiscoman I don’t think your sanity is at risk. And you didn’t reply to the risk you pose to others?

    3. @itchydiscoman sounds good at face value but when you recover but infect your mother or grandmother and they lose their life, you will have to live with your bad decision.

    4. @itchydiscoman Because you are not thinking about who you could hurt. You’re only thinking about yourself

    5. @David Williams don’t think ones sanity is at risk? Are you aware the suicide rate is up because of this?

  8. I just don’t think some people can reply to these questions in a calm way like Newsom, regardless if he actually answers the question.

    1. I am afraid Pence will not be an improvement. Less chaotic, speaking in full sentences but still following the same goals

    2. VOTE BLUE WHATEVER YOU DO 🇺🇸
Remember this November what widdle donnie did now.

    3. @George B. Wolffsohn I would say even more : vote for whoever is not Donald Trump, you’ll do your country a favor!

  9. Best governer I’ve heard speak. He doesn’t sound American. He makes sense and said no to the politics.

    1. corryjookit LOL, I’m embarrassed to admit that I didn’t look up the info; I can, for some weird reason, recall such profoundly significant details….like who played Ben-Hur in the 1926 silent, or who tested for the leads in ‘Gone with the Wind’, or where outdoor scenes from ‘The Sterile Cuckoo’ were filmed…..but I can’t remember where I put my house keys. Go figure, right?

    2. Large swaths of the American people prefer politicians like him, but gerrymandering makes it hard for them to win races.

    1. I think it’s good that she was acting tough questions. All the right does is complain about the media. She gave them nothing to complain about. Great interview on both sides.

    2. She has a fair style and she grills everyone with tough questions. I love Stephanie and her interview and like how the governor was calm and collected and presented his views in a commanding and coherent way.

    3. Is she trying to make Newsom “look bad” ? Or is she being a “fair” “journalist” ?
It’s easy to test that question. Two days ago she interviewed Governor Cuomo…
Compare the two interviews & You Decide.
      Here’s the link:

Two Governors of the two Largest States
      Both Democrats. Both Catholics
And two days apart. This is interesting…

    4. She’s not throwing softballs. But Newsome isn’t whining or throwing her out, he’s respectfully answering her questions.

    1. ME TOO!!!! He’s super smart and he’s really good looking!!!So glad I live in California.

    2. New Yorker in California:
      ME TOO !
The difference between Newsome and Trump is Newsome isn’t whining about how people aren’t praising him, he has rolled up his sleeves and gotten to work.

  10. Stephanie, yes the DEMAND HAS DISAPPEARED! When people have NO MONEY NO JOBS that the means there is NO demand. When no one can afford to buy even food to feed themselves.

  11. Wht do I feel like I’m watching my Governor being interviewed on FOX!!!!!
I’ve tired to like Stephanie but she really should be on FOX!!!!!
