Hajj 2022: Muslims travel to Mecca, Mount Arafat for pilgrimage | USA TODAY

Pilgrims from across the globe gathered in Saudi Arabia to perform the initial rites of the hajj.

In the United States, most Muslims will celebrate Eid al-Adha starting July 9 by visiting mosques and hosting large community gatherings. In other countries, celebrations take place at different times.

  3. God is Spirit. So worship God through spirit, not by location. You don’t have to travel to Mecca to worship God. You can be anywhere in the world.
