@Michael Lochlann The difference even between “Dubyah” and Trump is that all other presidents in recent history did take advice and gathered moderately competent teams around them (or naughty voices would probably claim that GWB got lead by the team that gathered him to be their frontpiece AND marrionette) and tried to make the departments and agencies of the US government apparatus work.
Trump seems to delight in sabottage (like the countless important posts still not having found a nominee and left in the hands of some “acting” stooge or putting important public health offices like EPA into the hands of long time “critics” that want nothing more than to make them stop working…), in stoking competition in a “divide et impera” spirit and to be jealous of anybody in his team getting better press than him.
That is a deadsure recipe – and has been confirmed by everything we see from that administration – for a dysfunctional government.

Being European, I can confirm he is indeed the laughing stock over here, while we ponder in disbelief how someone like him could possibly get elected in the first place.
