  1. Chelsea basically saying “I would never leak HUMINT/HCS (Human Intelligence) classified files… I’m not Trump, you know”. 😂

    1. @Rider 38 Do your own investigation. Your question is so stupid that I believe you are a bot. Anyone that puts bots online belongs in jail, not the Internet.

    2. @Fred Raye I love that you can’t answer 😅

It’s almost as if I knew you weren’t capable đŸ€”

  2. Respect. I want to read Chelsea’s book. Anyone who dares to expose ANY of the actual ugly evil that truly is, on occasion, practiced by the Politico-Military Industrial Complex, (such as claiming that Saddam had WMDs), deserves to have a voice.

    1. @David Mizzi Ok, I wasn’t in Iraq but I know a lot of people. Manning admits it’s a mixed bag but points out a lot didn’t care. You say “Every American, British, Canadian etc etc”. And of course we’re glossing over the fact that we’re talking about people trained to kill, over there to kill, in a war…often afraid of the Iraqis around them because they can’t differentiate between friend and foe…and yet you see overwhelming humanity on display. Maybe that’s what you needed to see.

  3. Well, maybe just stupidity case. Nothing more than that…? or angry person lashing out? Seems to me more the emotional matter than a high moral case.

  4. I was hoping to hear more about the WikiLeaks dump…I am still not clear about that. 5 minutes isn’t sufficient, obviously.

    1. I’m glad someone else noticed that, it’s like the news narrative was trying to deviate heavily from it in favor of bringing up a bunch of information on the interviewee. Information I could care less about when I literally just wanted more info on the leaks. Like IGGAF who she is, just tell me about the political corruption involved!

    2. Like maybe show some of the video of US mercenaries shooting Iraqi civilians from a helicopter as if it was a sport? Not on CNN (or any US mainstream media). This interview was crap. But I’m glad to see Manning survived and seems to be doing well.

  5. I wish I could say I was shocked or surprised. Been there and I just hope things get better… but I know they won’t.

  6. Mind Begs the Question:
If a Govt and Truth stand on opposite ends
    Must stand with – Govt,Truth?

  7. The U.S. Army does try hard not to take action against civilians it is part of the training. Problem with war it is very difficult at times to know who is the enemy in battle zones. Some combatants hide behind civilian clothes just for that reason. Yes, mistakes happen and we are sorry for it…Yes, there are soldiers who do not follow the rules…Yes, some get away with it and some do not as well and are punished. The majority of people in the military are good, but there are bad people as well. I do not know enough to say anything against Chelsea Manning, but that the narrative spun appears to be for making it worse than the reality. I am so tired of the narrative that the whole group is bad. Not all cops, not all soldiers, not all teachers and yes, not all lawyers and politicians are bad. When someone paints the picture that a group is mostly bad well the person speaking has lost their credibility.

  8. Jake Tapper says he knows many military people who care about Iraqis. That’s because you are (supposedly) a journalist you putz. Do you think they’re going to call them “towel heads” in front of you? A real journalist would do some research and talk to soldiers off the record and away from their commanders and would hear a very different story. Props to Chelsea. I think Jefferson said something along the lines of “a functional democracy requires an informed population”. That’s what she did, made us aware of what was being done in our name. Too bad she had to go to Wikileaks rather than a big paper like NY Times. It shows how much the US press has declined since newspaper editors risked jail by printing the Pentagon papers.

  9. All she did was expose the US military or government’s bad deeds. That’s a hero in my book. There are tons of despicable things this country has done that are usually done to protect or help American corporations or put money in powerful people’s pockets.
