After Prime Minister Justin Trudeau pledged to appoint an "independent special rapporteur" to investigate allegations of foreign interference in Canada on Monday, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre criticized the moved in question period as "a fake new position" that the Liberals invented.
Opposition parties continued to push the government to open a public inquiry into the matter and accused the government of "covering-up the truth."

Quick fix . Present situation To join a political party. You must be a resident of Canada (no, you don’t even need to be a citizen, just a permanent resident in Canada). Make it a citizen.
I for one support a public inquiry to have openness and transparency in our electoral process, ensuring it’s free from foreign interference from potential adversaries.

You have that already, the foreign interference is something completely different and has to do with security. If there is full transparency in that then it would make it easier for them to avoid being detected.
