  1. A Lebanese security offi
cial says 2,700 Tons of Ammonium Nitrate was confiscated from a Russian tanker. They confiscated it years ago and stored it in the port by all accounts and now it goes kablooey cause of a nearby fireworks fire

    1. @Harlan Mcdiarmid No, it can catch fire and then will explode, then the shock wave will propagate through and break the nitrogen and oxygen bonds- which becomes a chain reaction through all of it. I think the expansion ratio may be around 1000 times,so one ship full of it becomes 1000 ships of gas expanding at about 2 miles a second= trouble.

    1. It’s too early to know for sure but Lebanons president says it was an accident. I’m sure on these videos a bunch of keyboard experts will provide their theories but bottom line is it’s too early to know for sure. I suspect the investigation will have a clearer answer within a few days or maybe a week from now.

  2. 2020 feels like a movie.
You’d never expect all this bad stuff in one year. But lord it’s happening

  3. Imagine to be woke up by this explosion, u would think that your city has been hit by a nuclear attack

  4. I told my wife this morning when this first appeared on the news that it looked like a fireworks stock pile ignited a nitrate stockpile. Then it gets confirmed 12 hours later. I little bit of science knowledge and close examination of the videos will tell you what happened really quickly. Human error and negligence
