Here’s where speed limits will go up to 110 km/hr in Ontario

Ontario will permanently increase the speed limit to 110 kilometres per hour in six spots across the province.

  1. As a driver I applaud this. As someone who also understands that we should be moving away from personal vehicles and toward mass transit, I feel maybe we should be disincentivizing car use. Unfortunately, Ontario does not offer great inter-city train or bus options.

  2. I am interested to see if anything changes in the section from St. Catharines to Hamilton. Going 110+ then down to 2 lanes and 80 on the Parkway. Not trying to imply more lanes would fix anything (see:Induced Demand). That section can already get pretty close to Road Warrior territory.

    1. Were gonna need the cash when doug turns around and says we all need annual safety checks and they start at $150
