    1. Well when u sit on your hands while diddling yourself sure. Alberta & Canada has had plenty of opportunity to diversify it’s economic portfolio, transition enemployed ppl to alternative sectors- it hasn’t & now all of u keep crying like uneducated children. I am disgusted to be an Albertan at this point!

    2. Jonathan Edward then leave Alberta and join your “woke” friends out East. No country on the planet would sit on the third largest proven reserve and not develop it.

    3. @Jonathan Edward Entrepreneurs create economic opportunity, not governments. Why do all the smartest and brightest choose USA?

    4. @Dougie Drums Primarily better weather, cities are more interesting there & greed is aspirational in America, their country is imploding as we speak b/c human life takes a back seat to human greed. I love how all these comments are small minded

    1. They never had any intention of building it, that’s why they bought it….this way they could play both sides of the game, stay in the background as things get continually delayed, court challenged and protested to oblivion…to the point where costs get reassessed and suddenly it’s ‘too expensive’ and they cut their losses and mothball it. It’s been done many many times before.

    2. @Mr Smartypants Well, I’m a supplier to this project and it would be a horrendous waste of time and money for the country + myself if this project doesn’t go through…Canada is a pretty tough place to do business these days…

    3. Mr Smartypants unfortunately, that may indeed be the case. If it does get built, $12.6B is going to look like a bargain. Watch the cost and schedule get blown out of the water by this incompetent government.

  1. This government is bringing this country to ruin. What is wrong with all these protesters and this government that thinks we’ll just pay for our increasing socialism with happy thoughts?

    1. It’s no secret that Truedeau is against the pipeline. He’s playing his game. He knew the outcome when he approved the pipeline. That’s why he’s not getting involved. That’s why he left the country. That’s why he’s not enforcing the law. He’s behind all the protesters. That’s why hes cowering its a game play.

  2. Mr Trudeau can’t manage the country, how are we to expect him to manage an oil exploration company? How we know that he’s not lying? I think Trudeau should sell the company he bought in 2018 to someone who knows what they are doing. For all we know, these cost estimates are nothing lies. He’s not to be trusted, he needs to resign!

    1. No. Industry will now move to the United States. Our rail is vulnerable now. Both Ontario and especially Québec will hurt. Ships dock in ports down south and trucked up.

  3. I said it from the moment the government bought the pipeline. They were going to sit on it until it was deemed to be a burden on taxpayers, and fiscally unattainable. This was a plan from the start.

  4. Since when did the Liberals care about what anything costs? This is the first time I have ever seen them give a dam. This is the shiftiest government I have ever had the displeasure of witnessing.

  5. What’s really needed to salvage what’s left of this country is a coup d’
etat ending with the imprisonment of Justin Trudeau, Gerald Butts and
Tzeporah Berman. It’s truly unbelievable that this clown has been
allowed to pick our country apart in the name of progressiveness.
    Treasonous.

  6. This is the only time you will hear the Liberal party “concerned” about the tax payers. They have no shame. Isn’t this girl up past her bedtime?

    1. Thanks. I needed a little laugh when there’s not must to be happy about when this type of crap is spoken. BEDTIME is priceless.

  7. I was not going to cost the taxpayers at all. TMX pipeline was fully funded by Trans mountain with private funds. Until Trudeau bought it.
