    1. Amazon made 11.2 billion and paid $0 in Federal taxes in 2018. Its called gaming the system…..but I’m not a lawyer lol

    2. @Avery H Amazon is a company, not an individual. As far as anyone knowns Jeff Bezos does pay the income tax legally required of him, which (even by abusing loopholes) is most likely FAR more than $750 a year

    1. RawMaterialENT yep and in 2016 the polls said the same thing, but look trump is potus, and dont mention but hillary won. Hillary won the popular vote not the electoral college. That is how it works in america.

  1. Not going to lie…kinda pissed that all the Canadian news outlets are focusing on this crap. Don’t we have our own issues to worry about?

    1. @HughRGlen Well, look at the bright side. With Alberta going down the toilet due to mismanagement, you guys can finally collect on that sweet equalization money you keep whining about.

    2. @Michael Smith So Alberta was rich enough to save enough money to support itself for eternity?? Your a real thinker.

  2. “Look I’m not a lawyer, I think it’s illegal…?” cant they refer to a real lawyer on the real news? F for effort! Credibility? Integrity?

    1. @Sean Molloy They released one page of one year of his NY state tax returns back then, but not very much was revealed.

    1. Tax returns don’t show dealings with Russia by definition, not because they didn’t happen. They may or may not have.

    2. that’s not an effective defense at the fact that Trump has not released his Taxes, something that would prove him right, no?

    3. @RawMaterialENT Trump could prove the story was wrong… Just by releasing those two bottom lines on one year.
Will he do it… No… Why… Because the story is true.

    1. @MsPoshlife You’re absolutely right but, he can suggest to his party the loopholes to close (as he said he would when he was running) and when they had control of congress they could have.

  3. No billionaire pays taxes. This is not anything to be upset about unless you want to be upset with every billionaire

    1. Well… Have you ever heard the phrase… When the USA sneezes Canada catches a cold…
What happens in the USA effects Canada.

    1. You should have stayed in school…
Or at the very least… Looked this guy up… Learned about him… Before you posted such an embarrassing post.

  4. Allan L doesn’t understand the system we live in. The person making the claim has to prove the claim . Not the accused having to prove it wrong. The NYT may have committed a crime by publishing private information.

  5. Someone should tell this dimwitted Lichtman that the NYT article ITSELF disproves its OWN CLAIM! It LITERALLY says he paid millions in taxes! 🙂 LOL!!

    1. I think those tax returns you are referring to, were apparently provided to maddow by trumps niece.
Who, is now suing the Trump siblings because of the deception concerning her inheritance.
