@Aaron Weiser: Why did Trump allow the N95 masks to expire? According to the CDC site, they were manufactured between 2003 and 2013, with a shelf life of 5 years. So a lot of them expired during Trump’s administration too.
Point being the stockpile has a history of this over site and it takes something like this to ID it. The difference is Obama would’ve done something about it, where Trump wouldn’t. Obama had a long history of prepping for a pandemic, putting up teams around the world to identify and prevent their movement to the US. THAT’s the reason we didn’t have a pandemic during his administration. @Tom G meh when it comes to say north Korea, the entire world treats them like outcasts is because of the poisonous thought process foisted upon them by decades of cult like subjugation. According to the Korean narrative, if leaders of the free world meet with them publicly it will make their ideological narrative true. Which will empower them to feel justified in their anti western world ideology. The entire world doesn’t have this same opinion for the fun of it. Trump’s visit did absolutely nothing. We got ZERO. And they went right back to testing ICBM platforms. All it did was make us look like reckless fools that don’t understand international policy.
I never said sanction countries like north Korea. I said sanction Russia. For obvious acts of war. I know they’re civilian population will suffer. I guess they’ll have to get angry enough with the actions of their leader enough to oust him. That’s kinda the whole point.

@Tina Bush ok. I don’t mean to legitimise Trump particularly. I just don’t recognise that refusing to talk with an enemy achieves anything. Personally I can’t think of one situation that conflict has been resolved by an I’m not talking to you response. As for sanctions I wasn’t referring to your own view particularly. It’s just I know for example millions of civilians including children have died because of sanctions. I’m not an expert but I’m pretty sure that’ll breed hatred against those that sanction. And I’ve thought for awhile that those that impose sanctions do so as though they are extremely moral when in fact they are causing massive suffering. I’m just in favour of people trying to work things out. All we are saying is give peace a chance. Avery James Registered Nurse on a covid unit in one other the largest hospitals in my state. One of the first hospitals in the country to begin taking covid patients. I no longer believe anything I hear on TV, but you do what you need to do. All I can say is that there are some very important things happening in the world and in our country, none of it is being discussed on the news. I encourage everyone to look beyond the smokescreen. Go out of your way to find out what’s going on in the world and how these changes will affect you and your family.
@Alisha Monique Thanks for your reply, I only pray that you and your team can hold everything together, and save as many people as possible. I am not one of those people who get my news from one source. I just see too many reports of inadequate equipment in hospitals.
Avery James thank you. The beginning of this pandemic was brutal, we didn’t have enough supplies or tests and we were overwhelmed with patients. It was literally a war zone. That’s not the case anymore luckily. I’m not going to say the virus is over because it isn’t. BUT I have noticed recently our covid patients not as symptomatic as they were in March and April. I have also noticed that many patients who have recovered from covid are testing positive when they re-enter the healthcare system for other reasons. The test is picking up live and dead virus and I’m not sure why. This is a problem because patients end up on our covid unit and they really don’t belong there. We then have to do antibody testing to prove they no longer have active covid. But they are still being added to the daily case count. I’m not saying this is being done intentionally but it’s definitely happening. When looking at covid statistics focus on the death count and ventilator usage. That’s all I can recommend. Hospitalization is increasing because for a long time people weren’t coming to the hospital…now they are and we test everyone who comes in. Many test positive and they are now a covid hospitalization case, even though they came in with kidney stone, heart attack, car accident injury etc. but this data isn’t presented..they just say hospitalization is up and covid cases are increasing…people then become scared as is expected. I try my hardest to just let people know this virus is real and it’s deadly…however we have 5 months of data which shows us who is high risk of complications from covid. I have been luckily and so far have not contracted covid, nor has anyone in my family. We focus on immune health which is very important. And once again I really really encourage people to tune out the news. It will stress you out and raise your cortisol levels which will ultimately weaken your immune system.

First of all, probably half the population cares about society as a whole. The problem is that the Right Wing Think tanks got together with the Prosperity Gospel Christians AND the profiteers inside the Military Industrial Complex to turn society into a dog-eat-dog, every one for himself violence-prone debacle.
They push the narrative that you only succeed in life if Jesus loves you, you’re born into wealth, or you create wealth… largely by whatever means.
They push the “pull yourself up by your bootstraps” leaving out the FACT that most wealth is inherited. The poorest Americans have enormous obstacles to surmount to get anywhere. And the system is designed that way.
People make general observations as if what’s been installed by those with power speaks to the rest of us. It’s like taking Darwin’s Survival of the Fittest theory to the max, while leaving out the material he wrote about the success of groups that work together.
The current armed me-first model is the model of militarism: it’s based on fear, competition, and self-protection.
Its antithesis reflects traits of caring, compassion, and cooperation.
Which of these traits are exhibited by doctors on Covid-19’s front lines? In caring parents? In teachers?
When people use the results of decades of conditioning (added to all sorts of financial carrots and sticks) to make grandiose conclusions about an entire People or society, they demonstrate that they are well-trained Pavlov dogs: salivating at all of the right bell-signals.

We’re losing the war because leadership has abandoned the battle. The COVID-19 task force is being dismantled and leadership is declaring victory even while personnel around them are dropping like flies. Under military protocol when a commander fails to lead or won’t lead they are removed.
