Hong Kong firefighters get caught up in clashes

As the Hong Kong protests escalate and the anger against the government mounts, there is one public services department that's growing in popularity — firefighters. While the police force is widely criticized for their handling of the protests, fire engines get a round of applause when they arrive at the scene of unrest. CNN's Will Ripley reports a small, but growing number of firefighters have admitted that they support the protest movement across the city.

    1. The word you’re looking for is biased. Its a common mistake made by people who’ve only heard the word on Fox News. Leave your sister alone, Cletus, and go read a book.

    1. In fact they are both wearing black dress, they r both brainwashed, can no more differ rite n wrong. Both think they r fighting holy war. And last but not least, they have a same fate, that is dead end.

  1. that woman threw something at the police’s face, where is that part of the video. young and stupid is what those rioters are.

    1. @Leogard they don’t represent us! we have 7 million people in hongkong, only a few hundred protestors, they can’t speak for us, if they want freedom they can leave.

    2. @robert zhao estimated 510,000 that organisers claimed joined the annual 1 July protest in 2014. lot more than that buddy.

    1. @A Wong These fascist rioters are evil terrorists. Wtf dousing and burning people alive for disagreeing with you? I want PLA to kill all the fascist rioters. HK police are too soft these mfker’s actually tried to grab the guns out of police hands, they don’t fear police at all. PLA need to kill as many terrorists ASAP.

    1. @knell knell So you haven’t seen the video of the protesters (ANTIFA) pouring lamp oil on an old guy and lighting him on fire. Or how about the guy who attacked one of the cops, and tried to steal his gun? Perhaps you believe that the cop shouldn’t have shot the guy, and instead just firmly tell him (NO!)?

  2. 3:18 One got murdered by a democracy enthusiast, the other fell on his head from a parking garage (presumably due to clumsiness, cops weren’t even in the building).

    Same thing, basically..

  3. More videos I watch in CNN, more disgusting I feel about your so-called “freedom of speech”. I once to believe that only Chinese media will distort many things, until now, I know western medias even go further. You are using your editing techniques and photographing techniques to distort the truth.

  4. CNN must tell their experience with Hong Kong people too. Back in America police kill hundreds of people almost every year.
