    1. Their rules are for us not them. Do they appear concerned about contracting this so called virus? They do not. Wonder why?

  1. America, the nation of the original couch potatoes, has an issue being asked to be couch potatoes? πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

    1. Right! Tell a person to do something, they won’t. Tell them NOT to do something, and they’ll do it anyway. This is going to get interesting. I hope everyone just takes a deep breath, does what’s suggested, and let’s get through this.

    2. It’s amazing how people are complaining about staying home when most of the people complaining already do this. Grow up. Luckily I’m still working, but it’s a modified schedule and this sucks for my pay. But in the end, if I’m told to stay home then I will.

  2. Wow trumps bumbling handling of this event has put an entire country on lockdown how very convenient….15 down to zero…

    1. @Don Williams mr Williams you should know by now you cant clarify a leftist with facts …they dont operate in a theater where truth and facts count for anything at all

    2. Obama declared SIX MONTHS into the H1N1 crisis with over a thousand dead including many children….beginning of crisis: October…declaration of emergency: April….sorry 7 calendar months before declaration

  3. In your hour of need “do not” I repeat “do not expect FEMA, tRump or his dysfunctional gov’t to save you in your moment or hour of need.” You are on your own and if you have family and are positive then might be putting them at risk so really we are on our own.

    1. Good job. Of all the things you could offer as far as optimism, hope, relative comparisons, you speak like this is 28 days later zombie apocalypse. Dont listen to this person people, of all pandemics we couldnt have been luckier. Scientists have been fearing a long coming decimating virus or bacteria. Decimation is technically 10 percent, but they’ve been fearing one that could wipe out modern human life. This one will have us better prepared for such a thing.

  4. Yeah, let’s keep it safe folks and don’t panic and I’ll stay home, drink, and fight with the wife.πŸ€ͺ

    1. LOL… Fight with the wife, the bloody mother in law the mental kids & those annoying alchoholic neighbours

    2. Dittzx
Fighting with your wife, mother-in-law, mental kids? This is my point EXACLY use this in door time. To fixed your f’d up family…….

  5. Thank you to those people who are willing to be a part of the clinical trial…God bless you πŸ™πŸ½

    1. @Niki Edmonds was saying try and not expose your self, the best defense, your Governments have acted and known some are exposed to what degree has yet to show itself, that is why the defense is a must, the home now has to be understood as a defense? yes safe but needs proper testing or results could be worse than the virus

    2. πŸ™πŸ½πŸ™πŸ½πŸ™πŸ½πŸ™πŸ½πŸ™πŸ½πŸ™πŸ½

  6. Wouldn’t it be nice if Banks gave everyone a one time mortgage skip and let that filter down to renters? After 2008, they kind of owe us.

  7. I myself have been doing puzzles and drawing. Puzzles are great cause it’s really time consuming.

  8. The problem with soft speak, for example, “we recommend you stay home” and “voluntary quarantine” to circumvent “draconian” measures is that employers / businesses are listening to that and determining that they won’t be held liable for something happening if they require employees to come to work. The work places are crowded places and even Dr. Wen didn’t mention closing them down. We’re just prolonging an Italian style shutdown.

  9. come on lady this is america we dont do any thing unless you force us, isn’t that the american way anymore?.

  10. I sorely miss Tim Russert in these dangerous time , a true professional without grand standing or asking stupid questions !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  11. “Voluntary” in a nation where people are still having birthday parties in restaurants? If the government doesn’t declare a national shut down it won’t happen in this country.

    1. True, however because this is America, even if there was a declared shut down….people would still do whatever they want. I mean what is the government going to do? Arrest people….that wouldn’t go well. Hopefully people keep in mind that for the sake of other people we have got to obey these guidelines

  12. My only takeaway from this piece was, “Look, you’re just going to have to spend time with your children.”

    1. KaraZiasapiens

And that is so hard to do for many parents.
I live next to a park and it full of children, now that schools are closed. We Americans think that nothing can touch us, we display so much arrogance! America we are in trouble…

  13. “The test subjects will be followed for ONE YEAR.” – Oh great.
How about this: Offer prison inmates a reduced sentence, in return for testing the vaccine by actually getting exposed to the virus?
    I mean, DUH.

  14. People should understand seriousness of the virus and shelter in homes voluntarily. Sacrifice for Nation is a must.
