A recent “60 Minutes” report that detailed Florida’s vaccine rollout and Gov. Ron DeSantis’ role in it, but the network landed in some hot water after several Democratic lawmakers pushed back on its reporting that Publix, a grocery store that had partnered with the state to distribute vaccines, had donated $100,000 to Gov. Ron DeSantis' 2022 reelection campaign. In this latest episode of The Point, CNN’s Chris Cillizza explains how DeSantis is using the “60 Minutes” drama to appeal to his Republican base.

@June DiMond I hope we do get better .the country is a mess. The keystone pipeline has nothing to do with gas prices. It’s purpose was to move shale oil from Canada to loisiana to ship to foreign markets mostly China. I agree we need border protection, but we can do that by strengthening the system. Right now we are getting further apart.

According to Florida newspapers, DeSantis gave the vaccine exclusivity, at the beginning, to Publix supermarkets. The segment on 60 Minutes that this video mentioned, with the Democratic official, only covered his particular area. Refer to the Miami Herald and other state newspapers.
And you look at all the deaths that Florida had
