Like everything build out of necessity and sometimes love. It can and always seems to get exploited by the bad side of human nature. At its root politics and religion essentially are ment to be good. It’s unfortunate the large scale divide and violence that it envoke/cause.
It is no coincidence that throughout mankind’s history politics and religions are the two main reasons for nearly every single war. Look at how much blood was shed among the twelve tribes/brothers over who should be king and who should get what inheritance. Young children and babies were slaughtered and cities were burnt to the ground by men following god’s orders.
