    1. Elkslayer this is pointless risk, it’s not war reporting. You gain no important insight standing in the wind with sharp objects being thrown around at force. It’s just idiotic.

    1. This “journalist” reported on the devastation of a disaster effecting Millions of Americans.
This “journalist” gave Americans information about the storm for either people in the area or ones that have family in the area-
what have you done this week

    1. @Lana Kahl
      few possibilities-
1: she was standing outside when the VW bus was blown by the wind and hit her.
2: she was standing outside when the wind blew her into the VW bus.
3: she was not even outside and the freaking bus blasted thru the window and hit her as she was watching TV.
From the original post I will go with option 1

  1. “It will get cold again soon.” Is America Great Enough for you yet? Why is this happening to Republican controlled states? Mother Nature wants you to listen.

    1. @Jezballz So you are saying that the Democrat ran State of California is to blame for all problems in that State-
I will raise that with Trump is to blame for any problems in the United States.
My Republican President “Trumps” your Democratic Governor….🤣

    2. Looking at this great big beautiful country from space, one doesn’t see dotted lines delineating squares, trapezoids and crenellated blobs of red and blue. The mighty Mississippi runs from Minnesota to the Gulf of Mexico without being registered Republican water in one state and Democrat in another. (If you ask me, the global climate is communist controlled by Emperor Ming from Zorak, but I’m nuttier than a granola bar.)

    1. T. R. Campbell USA really needs to look at your education system.. u do know that’s what republicans want to keep u ill informed so u keep voting the lying corrupt republicans

    2. Scorpio Cove Clearly, the educational system is in dire straits in the USA. But I don’t believe the Republicans want to diminish education indeed they seem want to give kids better opportunities for education. Sadly, it was my party that is leading the fight against school choice. We remember President Obama opposed charter schools in the DC area yet his kids went to very exclusive private schools as do the children of many members of Congress.
If we look seriously at the political aspects of this it is the Republicans who champion school choice and wanting greater progress out of education. It is my party who is on the side of the teachers unions willing to except mediocrity of education.
At least the USA is offering to all children a free K through 12 education. It is up to the students and their parents as to how will they except this free gift of knowledge. Thanks for the post.

    3. @T. R. Campbell Half the workforce in the US earns less than $32,000 per year (and that was _before_ COVID). There are people who cannot even afford an automobile, and they are the ones who get burnt by “school choice”, since that almost _never_ includes transportation to the “better” school. They get the shaft as funding leaves their school and follows the student whose parent has transporting means. I also have issues with “for profit” schools and question the motives of some of the operators.

    4. Constituent A The Census Bureau just announced that the poverty rate has been lowered greatly most recently. Let the parents have a choice. As Democrats we support choice. Let us stop making choices for parents let them do it. Let us concentrate on getting the economy back to where it was supercharged before the COVID-19. Let us work to get the economy back to where it was when according to the WSJ lower class workers were making a larger percentage of increase that upper class workers. Let us get back to the point were black Unemployment was at a historic Low. Give parents back the opportunity to have their kids educated, let’s get our supercharged economy back.

  2. 2020 is just so angry with us.. December 31st at 11:59pm I’m taking a shot and saying bye bye and never looking back abs never speaking of it again.😳

  3. Flat objects with large surface areas get thrown around by the wind easily? Hmm, is water still wet?

The winds aren’t gonna stop, they’re only going to get worse. I urge the architects, and construction industry as a whole, to start designing and build buildings that compliment our current climate change crisis, instead of their clients egos. The people who are going to get hurt may not be the ones that pay you, but they can’t afford the repercussions either.

  4. Next thing you know , The clown comes out and say .. ” It’s the windmills , the windmills are the ones who created the hurricane’s “.;

    1. Nuke the cancer causing windmills Donald J Quixote, only you can save us, Sir, but you’ll have to do hand to hand battle with one first. So brave, so strong, such courage!

  5. Wow.. She is brave. Wind is no joke. SLC just had a major wind event, class 2 hurricane winds blew huge trees down taking tons of earth and sidewalk with them. Our 100+ foot blue spruce blew over on to my neighbors house. There house was almost completely covered by it. You couldn’t see about half of the house under all the branches. Luckily nobody was hurt and the damages minimal. We still haven’t got the last 20+ feet of branches off the top or the 100+ foot tree trunk that must weigh tons on its own, then there is the huge amount of earth in the upturned roots… Wow. The forces involved must have been enormous. For something as thin as air to move that much weight is almost inconceivable..

  6. We’re warning people to stay off the streets by going out into the streets.
Why isn’t she at least wearing protective head gear?

  7. Why hasn’t trump nuked this hurricane yet?? Or at least use his magic sharpie to make it go back out to sea? Oh wait, he is likely playing golf or hiding in his bunker tweeting false messages!

  8. When Trump drew the Sharpie hurricane line in Alabama last year he was just looking into the future with his huge “Uh-brain” !!
