    1. @jade whos “you people”? So i can label them them too. Going with skin color? Or maybe the red beard? Cant you see it yet? They have done this to you, not me. It is truly to be everything you hate

    1. @David JacksonYour words make so much sense! communists hate religion… and history sure proves it!! many communist “leaders’ have killed millions of people and they love targeting religious people…Now, people who can’t think by themselves and support communism… are known for being lazy… they don’t like working… they want others to take care of them! so no wonder Gerald told Denna “stop praying, start working”…

    2. @Jo Nathan ITS CALLED A COUNTER NARRATIVE. YOU KNOW OPPOSING VIEWS, DIFFERENCE OF OPINION. SORRY YOU’RE ECHO CHAMBER BROKE BUDDY.
I GOT PURGED FOR SAYING ELECTION FRAUD AND…..
      WWG1WGA!

  1. The knowing promotion of hatred against China simply to deflect blame from the administration’s poor handling of the pandemic. Prominent Republicans were not simply criticizing Chinese leadership, they were saying blaming China broadly and using the terms “Kung Flu” and “China Virus” which clearly stoked hatred against China and by extension all Asians because many Americans can’t tell the difference.
Dear Rep. McCarthy. For 12 months people have told you that using the term “China Virus” is fanning the flames of hatred towards Asians, yet even today you still use that term. IF the term “China Virus” was simply used and interpreted as an identifier then there would be no problem, but YOU KNOW that this term and the other rhetoric around it was used to redirect blame from the administration to China and many Americans blamed all Asians. YOU KNOW THIS! You are so despicable.

  2. Blaming Asian Americans for the pandemic is like blaming German Americans for the holocaust.

    1. I know this is anecdotal but I live in a very Red state and I haven’t heard a single Trump supporter blame Asian Americans for the China virus.

    2. @Wolf 7 If an Asian is attacked in San Francisco’s China Town it wouldn’t be news, put Trumps name on it an its a media frenzy.

    3. @dls951 <--- only loudmouth americans Don’t call it the Spanish flu. That’s what Spain said in 1918 at the start of what would become the deadliest pandemic in history, killing more than 50 million people worldwide. The Spanish got tagged with the killer name during the end of World War I because Spain was the first country to report the disease publicly, not because it originated there. Spaniards called the highly contagious disease “The Soldier of Naples” after a catchy song popular at the time. But when the deadly virus exploded across the world and became known as “Spanish influenza,” Spain protested that its people were being falsely stigmatized. WP

    4. @Gabe Dudley — probably meant NOT an American Citizen or an Asian or Chinese born in America. Misunderstanding….

  3. Italians and Irish were also treated poorly by the Americans! Now they have another race to bash and maltreat! It seams racists never stop Sadly it seams to be getting worse not better, my Condolences to family and friends for the loss of your loved ones R.I.P 🙏🌹🌹🌹🌸🌸

    1. If people actually did their research they’ll find out that the DEMOCRATS are the ones who started slavery in 1854

    2. @Free Dom We. have to look back at history in order to fully understand the true nature of slavery. History will tell us that the ancient Chinese were perhaps involved in the largest graphic of human slaves in history followed closely by Indian. We are all well aware that the ancient Egyptian civilization use slaves to a great extent. The Romans were able to be involved in slave usage. Many believe that the Roman empire would not have survived without sleeves.
Many of the great African empires establish trading routes but also engaged in warfare with neighboring empires and found that selling captives to the Ottomans in the Middle East countries was highly profitable. It was not until these empires allowed Europeans to establish ports on the west coast of Africa that the Atlantic slave trade began to flourish.
Slavery was very prominent in the south and central America and in the Caribbean. Millions of slaves were sent to these areas, a small number however did end up in the America’s And the practice continued after the revolutionary war.
The English philosopher in political economist, John Stuart Mill stated that, “Almost every people now civilized have consisted in majority of slaves.”

    3. @Donnie BunkerBoi I might be very stupid. There were a lot of people much smarter in the world than I am but clearly, you are not one of them. You seem to be consumed with intertemporal abstractions.

  4. I’m surprised Turtle McTurtle isn’t saying anything at all. But then again, his wife didn’t leave the administration when Trump started saying it so why would he care..

    1. This Committee hearing was under the House, not the Senate. But Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said in a statement Thursday evening that “committing a crime against anyone because of his or her national origin or race is deeply wrong and antithetical to our founding principles. Asian Americans should not have to experience discrimination anywhere.”
Earlier in the day, McConnell had ignored multiple questions about the Atlanta shootings, including whether former President Donald Trump’s harsh rhetoric about China and coronavirus led to a rise in anti-Asian American bias and about who is to blame for the shootings. His wife, former Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, said, “My thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims of the attack in Atlanta. Such vicious, unconscionable acts of violence cut at the very core of our country and the values on which it was founded. As we await the findings of a thorough investigation, the critical work to combat the haunting rise of hatred against the AAPI community must intensify with the immediacy this latest tragedy commands.” Critics say her statement is a day late and a dollar short.

    2. Mitch McConnell is not giving this crap any credit as a hate crime. The shooter has explained his motives and btw..white people died too

    1. @1984 THEBEGINING Pretty sure we know who the racists are in this country…they all voted for Trump…the head racist. The way one knows they failed at parenting is if their adult child brings home a Trump supporter.

    2. @Merrilou Neigenfind , you knowingly voted for a racist and now you’re supporting a racist and using the democrat standard of since you voted for a racist you are a racist so using your own standards YOU are a racist , or was joes vp lying about his racist remarks ? Or is joes racism not bad racism ?

    3. @Merrilou Neigenfind , you voted for a racist but don’t consider yourself a racist , why ? The democrat standard of you’re a racist if you vote for a racist makes YOU a racist, or is it that you don’t think you have to hold yourself to standards you demand of others ?

    1. If people who have a rough day committed crimes should they be excused the non asians who died were at the wrong place at the wrong time it was a hate crime my compassion to all lets love one another please

  5. Yet again the republician party are so out of touch with reality. They need to think before they open their mouths, much of this horrible hate speech can be atribuated to Trump’s reign as it rose even before he was elected and only got worse. We all need to think before we speak as my very wise mom said once something is said it can never be undone.

    1. Please provide a link to the horrible heat speech that you say that Trump was responsible for. Please provide a link because I believe right now you’re spouting nothing but propaganda.

    2. @T. R. Campbell I do not have to provide any links just go back over his time even before, he took up office. From mocking people with disabilities to the comments that lead up to the latest shooting in your country. He kept referring to Covid-19 to the China flu among the terms he used. America was always seen as the land of opportunities, sadly now this is not the case.
I was offered the chance to move over to Sarasota Fla several years ago. The reason I decłīnêd was I did not want to bring my child up with the constant fear something terrible coułd happens. While over for a holiday I had an anaphylaxis reaction to ‘fire ants’. I had to visit the hospital, the first question asked was what insurance did I have. This does not happen here. You are given the care you need first’ and accounts šetteled afterwards.

    3. @T. R. Campbell
Racist anti-Asian hashtags spiked after Trump first tweeted ‘Chinese virus,’ study finds -WP

    4. @Jack Duncan You sure about that…If trump was right about this BSL4 Biolab? Then you Americans helped to fund the building of the Biolab, trained scientist working at the Biolab. And you Americans funded Bat Coronavirus research at that Biolab including Gain-Of-Function research…

something your MSM and Conservative Media was too afraid to tell you/ stopped short of telling you about… except for a few instances I could find, but they never reported all at once… just gave snippets of info plus there is even more than that they didnt tell you talk about igno.ran.ce….

you americans just off-shored your d.e.a.d.l.y. pathogen research and it came back to b.i.t.e you on the….$@@$@

it should really be called the American Funded Virus or American Blow Back Virus

  6. Not liking China’s government has nothing to do with how we treat Asian Americans. They are Americans.

    1. @Keith Smith Has it occurred to you that maybe they don’t like you bc you’re a jerk and not bc of your race? Your comment makes that theory a viable reason.

    2. It’s the “White” misinformation campaign again or as I like to call it, The Snowflake Campaign. “It China’s fault that we are racist towards Asians.” But you know, peasants acts peasantly. (And when you think about it, most of the English/Europeans that came over to the US were peasant since they weren’t royalty.) So BE GONE PEASANTS!! Lol.

    3. Plus not all Asian Americans are from China or even like China tbh. I don’t understand what does the Chinese government has to do with Asian American treatment

  7. More proof the Republican party is completely tone deaf to the concerns of their constituents. Makes one wonder, do representatives in the GOP need to have severe narcissism to be eligible for office?

    1. Democrats are the real racist! Japanese internment camps, the KKK! Oh and just FYI! The Republican Party freed the slaves!

    2. @Jack Duncan Republican legislators in Idaho Tennessee Kentucky Louisiana New Hampshire fought to keep child marriage legal
Chris Christie vetoed a bill raising marriage age for religious reasons

  8. Free speech does not exclude personal and moral responsibility. You are not free to say just anything, however obnoxious, with impunity.

  9. Well if the shooter at the Asian massage parlor was “having a rough day”, I guess the GOP owe him a cup of decaf and will send him on his way.

  10. This breaks my heart and infuriates me. I have many Asian friends and former students who are absolutely wonderful, brilliant and talented people. They DO NOT deserve to be treated like this.

    1. They will tell you first hand they are not. Your being lied to. Your being played. Your being used by your political Gods. Wake up
