    1. How can you expect young children to always wear their masks, wash their hands and social distance. Kids are kids, and not expected to behave 100%. Sorry for the loose of your teacher.

    1. As an Australian looking on from afar, your republicans haven’t looked good for 4 years, since they allowed the president free rein.
Do they have NO conscience?! 😱

    1. Bernie Sanders said on MSNBC that he can work with #Biden2020 to get this done. We all must vote to see this happen.

    1. When I had the virus earlier, I was very, very sick. It took me about 2 months to get over it and I didn’t even have to go to the hospital.

I got it from my sons, who went out one time to a friend’s.

There was no way I could have worked during those 2 months. I was too weak and ill.

I work in the schools and I have risk factors. I am now faced with trying to decide if my antibodies still remain and will protect me or will I be in danger.

My county is still trying to decide about in school learning, although most of the counties around will be distance learning at least for the 1st semester.
My fear, besides a second bout, is that they will start schools then have to scramble to shut things down again after it goes wrong and people are sick and dying.
We don’t have control, we don’t know enough and it spreads too easily.

PS we are quarintined again because my son’s co worker tested positive.

    2. @Janne Please in 2004, Bush and the GOP defended Abu Ghraib, torture and the killing of over 2000 Iraqui civilians in Fallujah using the same chemicals Saddam used to gas the Kurds.

DEPRAVITY has been the hallmark of the GOP for decades. Trump or someone like him or worse was inevitable.

    3. @Joan Harding Your antibodies make you more susceptible to die from COVID19 if you get reinfected.

The reason is your body may be hypersensitive to the corona antigens and you may have a cytokine storm. If that happens you can die within 45 minutes to 24 hours of symptoms.

Think of a cytokine storm as a severe allergic reaction.

No one has an allergic reaction the very first time their body meets an allergen. It is on one of the subsequent encounters that the body, already full of antibodies, over reacts.

Frankly, the BEST thing for a disease like this which can reinfect within 60 days is for you to LOSE your antibodies

Because we have no way of knowing which people’s immune system will over react. We DO KNOW that a reinfection is a subsequent exposure just like an allergen. We also know that something like this happened in the fall of 1918.

The young who survived the flu in the spring died horrifically fast in the fall. Some as quickly as 45 minutes after they started feeling unwell. Drowned in blood, pus, mucus and fluid in their lungs.

    4. Trump supports Herd immunity which is a bunch of BS! If his family were in direct line of fire he wouldn’t support it… wait a minute, he probably would put his kids in the line of fire? Sociopath.

    5. @Joan Harding bless you and your family, I hope you and all your loved ones get well and make it out better when we get past this crisis. Your voice should be heard cause there are lots of people misinformed and taking this crisis more as a political stunt then an emergency. This is far worse than the Flu and much more contagious as you know. My friend’s father past from Covid so I know first hand it’s not a stunt or an exaggerated health crisis, it’s real and it’s devastating especially when it hits home. Thanks for speaking about your situation and best wishes.

    1. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸!!!!!! Thanks for ASKING!

  2. My Aunt has been a teacher/administrator for over 40 years. Planned on working until she dropped. Broke her heart to retire over this insanity.

    1. tell her she will break everyone’s hearts if anything happen to her. smart choice retiring

  3. *👉America needs to see the faces of those who are now Dead, only then will the non-believers, begin to finally believe it!*

    *#BrokenAmerica** 😔*

    1. During Vietnam, Life Magazine published photos of all the American service members who’d died the previous week. We need a publication to do that for every American who dies from COVID in a particular week.

    2. Farmer Bob , we lost a nurse friend here in MO last May. We could not believe she was gone. Her family and us her friends are still in pain. 😢

    3. Sadly, Farmer Bob, even the faces of the dead won’t persuade them. Even if the faces of the dead belong to people they love. They are dug in too deep. It would cost them too much emotional pain to realize they support the very person whose negligence caused all this horror. They drank the Kool-Aid. They’re a lost cause.

    4. Don’t really believe that would help. They are just cold hearted, feelingless people without souls.

    5. Yes!!! I hope families give their pictures and stories to MSNBC to make it more real so the American people can see for themselves.

  4. We have done relatively no testing on kids and every time we do it turns out that the virus has gone wild. Why do people keep saying kids don’t catch it.

    1. @havapuppy In the meantime a 3-year-old girl in Belgium died of the virus. It doesn’t matter what they say, children, teachers, whole families are not safe.

  5. 25% of his students live with grandparents.
Raising my granddaughter. If she caught it in school, came home, and infected me, she would have to live with that forever. Think of the guilt.

  6. even with a lot of precaution the teacher isn`t protect at 100% from covid-19. one mistake is over. trump neglect american safety.

  7. This man has a heart! He knows how hard it is to teach but when we lose a teacher we grieve! This principle wants everyone to be safe! These idiots who down play this Coronavirus pandemic seriously you are putting everyone at risk with this Coronavirus a new virus doctors and scientists have still to learn about! I won’t listen to Trump! I listen to the science and doctors! I will home school on the computer if needed! Our Government shut us down our Federal Government should be giving us the financial assistance we need to fight this Coronavirus pandemic! It’s like if we had a huge tsunami we would need help for that! Our Federal Government is what we the tax payers put into we should get whatever we need from them! GOD BLESS OUR CONGRESS THEY’LL NEED IT! 154,000 American’s have died! How do you guys sleep at night? May God help us!

  8. It’s easy for the elite to press for reopening, they don’t send their kids to under-funded public schools.

    1. We still don’t know what having this virus in their bodies will do to the kids 10 years down the line.

    1. @charles allan Only after their kids start getting sick or die.

Though it is not good to see any group or demographic as a monolith the one feature I have noted frequently in Trump supporters in particular and Republicans in general is a high tendency towards self centeredness.

This trait often means thatcmany of this group are fine with the most tragic or depraved mechanations of government up until they are personally affected.

Only then are they riled enough to put a stop to certain things.

  9. everybody: you can’t open the schools during a pandemic, what about the children, what about the employees?! 😣😢😭

    trump: what about them. 😏
