‘I Can’t Breathe’: Another Shocking Fatal Arrest Video Emerges After Floyd Killing | MSNBC

More deadly confrontations with police captured on video emerge as George Floyd’s brother testifies before Congress, telling officials “enough is enough” and imploring them to do more on the issue of police brutality. As protests continue in the wake of the case of George Floyd, new pressure is forcing more taped incidents of police brutality into the public. The New Yorker’s Jelani Cobb and Former Police Chief and Obama DOJ Official Ron Davis joins MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle to discuss the ongoing instances of police brutality caught on camera. Davis argues Trump’s message of “law and order does not mean what it is supposed to mean – peace and justice” but instead “means the targeting of communities, of men of color to fight crime.” (This interview is from MSNBC’s “The Beat with Ari Melber, a news show covering politics, law and culture airing nightly at 6pm ET on MSNBC. ). Aired on 6/10/2020.

    1. @Duke Makedo Actually you are on camera where ever you go. Work, the stores, street your hightech spy TV…etc..

    2. @D R Some of them were sleeping, sitting on their couch, in their car, walking home, with their friends, jogging…. etccc…They were well behaved but still they were killed

    3. @Duke Makedo So… Every copy would expect cameras in places they patronize. Banks, businesses they protect..

  1. Yeah leaving your vehicle and trying to get in the cop car is a big no no…even for white folk

    1. @ZiBRA Counselling Solutions If you actually watch the FULL video, you will see that something is not right with the guy (Saying he was speeding because he has to get to the end of the video game, etc.)
The cop calls for another car to the scene because the guy needed to be assessed, possibly for driving under the influence… the cop says when the other car shows up that there was a couple of struggles, he tried getting into the drivers seat of the patrol car a couple of times, had been pepper sprayed, and the guy had gone for the officer’s gun… In that case, where a guy grabs an officers gun, and it’s a “Me or Him” situation, regardless of race, I’m on the side of the cops!
Would there be as much outrage of this if the guy had gotten the officer’s gun and shot the officer with it, probably not, it would just be another statistic… But because the cop shot the guy, this is being blown up now.
Note: this happened a week before George Floyd’s death… The guy had a number of run-ins with the cops in the hours leading up to this incident in which every officer was friendly and helpful to him (pulled over for speeding, helped with his car trouble, etc)

  2. Seriously, I don’t see what Trump could say that would help at this point. Will he serve us his angry divisive B.S. or will he read someone else’s words just to tweet something horrible an hour later…

  3. I remember back in the day you could not shoot someone if they was not violent towards you. Those days are over.

    1. @Michael Borders tables are fixing to turn for your kind peckerwood. We’re going to have fun replacing you pink cretins. 😂😂😂

  4. war on drugs > private prisons > militarized law enforcement > bribed politicians > police state > corruption > riots > change

  5. there must be thousands… back when there were no security cameras, cell phone cameras and your local sheriff was moonlighting as a kkk member at night…. think about that.

    1. Right here in Alabama there is the case of Dana Fletcher who was killed by the police and they have refused to release the body cam footage. Instead they Photoshopped a picture of him holding a gun and narrated the picture to the public. Madison Alabama, please look it up.

  6. We all know their are a lot more out there. But we will probably never see them or were not on tape at all.

  7. Thinking of Ms Taylor—What if the Police that shot and killed Her-had to care for the Her body, clean the crime scene, inform personally the Victim’s Family—finally treating Her las the whole person who’s life they took=as meaningful. Instead of The Department shielding them and professing, they are the victim…w/pay?
It should go without saying…however I will—having accountability=banding NATIONALLY choke holds, providing an up to date registry, banning no knock drug warrants, BIAS TRAINING, and DE-ESCALATION TACTICS -use of your firearm should be your last resort

  8. Transparency should be everyone’s ideal? Tell that to the Republican senators who helped Trump hide the evidence of his crimes during impeachment.

    1. So I gues Mueller and his entire team are completely incompetent and misused $30m in taxpayer dollars???

    2. It’s useless to try and get your point across, their eyes are wide open, yet they refuse to see.

    3. MVVpro Thank you!! 👍The complete abandonment of checks and balances for their own selfish reasons😡

    4. @FederalPhoenix Hillary was questioned for hours during Benghazi hearing…would like to see Trump do the same

  9. It’s disgusting what’s happened to America. Some police officers deserve to do some time in the slammer. I think they should be charged with first degree murder. The standard should be higher for police officers.

  10. Doesn’t look like he made to the driver side! We all know you would never make it to the other side of the patrol car! This a culture with police! They are still race patrol and that’s why they were formed.

  11. When they say _”the home of the brave”,_ they don’t mean the millions of racists. When they say “the land of the free”, they don’t mean the millions people of color.

  12. They will cover up everything and blame it on the vitctims. They had criminal records or underlying health issuse. They were resisting the officers felt threatened SMH I will never trust the police.

  13. why is it so hard for people to do what they’re asked?!
if you feel wronged at least you’ll be alive to seek justice..
