Then there are those who use it as a business practice and have little regard for those on the receiving end. I’ve been on the receiving end. At a certain point, you see the possibility coming, but when someone is telling you straight to your face, “it isn’t happening”, it’s difficult to imagine someone you’ve known lying straight to your face. Surprise. I have no doubt it’s a humbling experience, when it occurs as I said, in those honest sincere cases.
