  14. It may be just me… but maybe there would be no shortage, IF YOU PREPARE BEFORE THE HURRICANE!? It is not like this is something new. You get hit EVERY year. So stock up BEFORE the season starts and there would be no shortages to worry about.

  16. You can almost be certain there is going to be a cat4 or cat 5 hit somewhere in the gulf by the end of this season. Because there were no major tropical storms in the gulf, the column of warm water goes deeper than just the surface. It is the surface temps that generate hurricanes and once they pass over and turn up all the waters, surface temps cool. That has not happened this year, the warm waters are deeper, and there is more stored heat energy. When a storm does pass over it, it won’t cool the surface down so we can probably expect a chain of storms one after another. The second half of the season could be bad, so prepare if you live anywhere near the gulf.
