After an episode of Netflix’s hit show ‘Orange Is The New Black” featuring inmates talking about a real-life helpline offered by a group giving legal advice to immigrants, ICE shut it down.
Christina Fialho, Co-founder of “Freedom for Immigrants”, the group behind the helpline says the hotline it has been running for six years and offers ‘people in immigration detention a free connection to the outside world.’

We the People would do well to e mail/call our reps, along with our, “reps,” objecting and calling for the re-instatement of this helpline! Suing, yes, but it does not help the detainees now. We could speed things up! PS This sort of unconstitutional and inhumane intrusion and hindrance can only lead to more violations of our Civil Rights. Who’s next? Could be any one, everyone…

People act like ICE is an organization with a deep foundation. They aren’t even 20 years old. Of course we can shut them down. We existed for a long time without them and they haven’t accomplished anything significant since their inception.

And yes there are Trump supporting fascists here loving and supporting this freedom of speech violation, as long as it doesn’t violate their freedom they’re Ok with it. They are the real problem not Trump.

It is very reassuring to know that anyone from another country has anything kind to write after the apalling schmendrick Trump has contaminated our Whitehouse. No American voter possessing an IQ above 50 can be held responsible. Trump actually lost what is known as the popular vote (meaning the majority of voters,) but sadly we utilize an archaic system known as the electoral college that supercedes what most voters desire. I expect that due to the horror of electing a mentally disturbed, narcissistic, bombastic, unscrupulous, “kadokhes” (yiddish,) our voting system will demand a complete overhall. Americans utilizing a normal thought process feel as we are enduring a 4 year root canal, or we are being led by “Dreadhead” the crazy shrunkenhead on the ‘Knight bus” in the Harry Potter movie (though the head was much better looking than Donny) “Prisoners of Azkabar.” The tradgedy for us is that many foreigners perceive Americans as mean, uncaring, hateful wealthy people, even more so as the result of Trump’s racism, evil, hatred, bigotry, bullying, indifference, ect. towards the rest of the world with the exception of Putin’s Russia. In reality most Americans must work diligently to survive while feeling helpless as our present selfish corrupt leaders plunder, deceive, and cheat us.

The last thing ICE wants is for detained immigrants to know their rights and their legal options. Knowledge is dangerous. ICE has run its course. Time to abolish it.

Most concentration camps cut the contact to the outside world to hide the atrocities. We know this ends in piles of corpses.

Anyone, not just immigration folks, can be targeted by this indefensible, destructive, ridiculous, “Administration,”. Babies and children in these, “detention centers,” have died, they are denied proper food, water, bedding, medical care and rest. We cannot condone by our silence the irreparable, un-American harms being committed by Trump and his gang. We can google organizations working to aid these children, Save the Children is one, and find ways to help.
