Enough already. Every refusal of a House Subpoena should be met with a Contempt of Congress charge, and an actual arrest.
@Joy Phillips You really need to brush up on your US Govt lessons.
The US Constitution specified that the House and only the House has the power to impeach.
It also specifies that the Executive branch can’t just ignore a subpoena or demand for documentation.
During an investigation, when the House is still gathering facts and documents the Executive Branch has zero representation because it’s not at that stage yet.
Those “rights” you are talking about comes to play during the impeachment debate when the House is deciding which if any of the articles of impeachment are sent up to the Senate. The also come into play during the Senate trial where after Trump is impeached, he will be tried to see if he will be retained or removed from office and VP Pence becomes President Pence.
Based on the numbers it’s an almost guarantee that Trump will be impeached.
The only question is will the Senate convict.
Dems are too scared to send them to jail. They are too weak to enforce the law.
