Some residents of Jackson, Mississippi, have been without water for 14 days. Laurie Bertram Roberts of the MIssissippi Reproductive Freedom Fund says, "What really needs to be done is major infrastructure investment on the federal and state level. It was not shocking to me that it took the state so long to even show up in Jackson." Aired on 03/02/2021.

  1. Mississippi just re-elected Hyde Clyde Smith for Senator. Who said she would be front row at a lynching.

    Maybe next time people will get out and vote for people that care and stop saying that voting doesn’t matter. They are paying the price for being politically lazy

    1. Or mass GQP voter repression steals elections. Happens all the time in dozens of elections, and has for decades.

    1. @Tod Brown Doesn’t change the fact that Mississippi is the poorest state in the country with 19.7% of the population living below the poverty line. republican leadership for the win!

  2. So sorry. I am in Texas and know what they are going through. Hopefully it will be fixed very soon.

  3. If the water was turned off in the predominantly white neighborhood for part of the day the water pressure in the other neighborhoods will increase.
