Adam Geiger I see plenty of hate on both sides…and don’t just assume that the reason people don’t want trump to be the president is that they “hate” him. Maybe it’s that we don’t agree with his policies nor the rhetoric he chooses, which too often features derisive/abusive/demeaning or insulting language. And maybe we don’t agree with how he uses this rhetoric to deliberately divide the nation, precisely at the time we needed to try to pull together. From where I’m looking it’s trump that’s being hateful. And look at what motivates his base: hate. Read the comments by guys like “bubbles” who’s love for trump is rooted in his wish for liberals to suffer and be punished. In fact that is what seems to be the adhesive that most holds trump and his base together. Many trump supporters seem to love trump most not for what he does for the country but what he does TO people they hate or dislike…making America “great again”is as much about “owning the libs” and making America pay for electing Obama. “Making America great again” implies a process of rejection and re-programming…to make the past anachronistic and create a counter-narrative to the reality of a country that is changing demographically and idealistically away from white familiarity.
When Trump says there has to be “retribution” he is being hateful and vengeful, there is no justice in such words. When people like you talk about the country being destroyed they act like it’s happening during Biden’s presidency, except Biden isn’t the president. No, we are here, right in this exact position with trump as the president. No amount of conspiracy theory digging changes this. But as you said, I am picking the 3rd option and living with my morals, integrity and values. And it’s precisely because of these that I won’t be voting trump- not because I “hate” him.

As wildfires continue to rage across three states, police investigated separate incidents near existing wildfires. Two men in Washington state, one man in Oregon and one woman in California are facing charges, according according to the LA Times
The latest reports suggest that at least 20 people have died in California, eight in Oregon and one in Washington state as firefighters struggle to contain already deadly fires.
