How about we encourage gun safety and encourage concealed carry so when this does happen, it can be stopped. No matter how many laws you put on the books someone who wants to commit these horrible acts. There are solutions to this problem without stepping on people’s rights
@Allosaurus Fragilis this is our country this is our constitution. It’s not some “ancient” script. The Second Amendment says we have the right to bear arms. This country doesn’t keep anyone here that doesn’t want to be.

Allosaurus Fragilis Mexico has very strict gun control yet in 2018 one Mexican city, Tijuana, had 2512 homicides, which is nearly double what the entire state of Texas had that year. Ciudad Juarez shares the border with El Paso, Texas, but Juarez has 25 times the rate of homicides than El Paso. Just 4 countries, all with strict gun control account for 25% of all homicides on Earth, Brazil, Venezuela, Honduras, and Mexico. Making good people defenseless has never made bad people harmless.

@Wolf See, black markets are available, totally agree, but again, every other country in the globe that has toughened their gun control have SIGNIFICANTLY less deaths & crimes & suicides as a result. But for some yet to be revealed reason, the US seems unable to do it.
@Jonas P Except I already explained to you why bans wouldn’t work in the US the only way they could enforce such a ban is house to house raids which would , like I said before, would be a failure. The FBI are the ones who failed not the 2nd Amendment. Almost every recent mass shooting the FBI had actionable evidence against the gunmen. Let’s look at Parkland where the manifesto of the shooter was sent to the FBI, but they failed to act.

Science is always revealing new truths as new facts become known,”” Science is not settled”” science is a progressive road to making a common-sense conclusion on what’s known at the time. Science is not the end all following the science in 1843 could have you all being leeched to death, but we killed that cold. Science is not that far advance now. Sometime I feel like i’m being forced to be leeched.
Banning more guns won’t solve the problem, it will only increase it and make people more vulnerable to these types of attacks.
How many times have a responsible gun owner saved the situation of a mass shooting?
@Josh K. How many times have mass shooters have targeted places where there was some kind of armed security? These active shooters only look for a body count, not a shootout.
Banning guns will cause riots that will make the BLM race riots look like a casual gathering.

Walmart will protect us. Door greeters provide kevlar helmets and body armor. Mini-guns and stinger RPGs on the roof top. 30-cal MG 42 on the shopping carts. Cross-firing Vickers water-cooled machine guns on every exit. Flamethrowers in front of the store. Parking lot is a mine field. No bad guy will be able to enter this place!

My heart goes to those families who lost a loved one. Truly. The pain they will feel will last a lifetime and they will need to find peace within themselves, within their family units and, if desired, through professional help. Mental trauma is what leads to those that are in mental pain to cause physical pain on themselves and others. For those who are looking to turn this into a political battle, SHAME ON YOU! A gun ban is not the answer. Taking guns away from the people and trying to revoke the 2nd amendment will not take the guns away from the bad people. Higher taxes and fees will not take the guns away from the bad people. Longer wait times and exhausting tests on gun owner applicants will not take the guns away from the bad people. Truly GOOD people, who are responsible with their own methods of defense, will take the guns away from the bad people. America is about FREEDOM; freedom to make a choice. Our choices have reactions and we must all live with them but a government punishing its good people for the actions of its bad people is not just. It’s political warfare against its own people. This is a war game that has started by extremist groups within our own government to make America fail. You will see this same type of strategy every time a communist experiment is initiated in a country. Cambodia, China, Cuba, North Korea, Laos, Vietnam and many others have fallen victim to this experiment. Look at them now. Freedom is the religion. 🇺🇸
