‘It’s destroying us’: ICU nurse in Kentucky on Covid-19

CNN’s Miguel Marquez reports from Hazard, Kentucky, where the city’s largest healthcare facility doesn’t have enough ventilators, according to the director of respiratory therapy. He also speaks to an unvaccinated Covid-19 patient who says he didn’t pay attention to the coronavirus before he ended up in the hospital.

    1. Oh my god the ”China Virus” paid & push by Democ—Craps & Chinese News Network CNN “IS DESTROYING US”, what an absolute lie, They just want to Steal the Election big Time midterms 🤯

    2. Will tell Biden to close the border he’s letting anyone in here that comes they don’t have time to check out who they are or to even test them for covid-19 up drugs in the United States right now to kill every American off twice over Joe Biden is evil

  1. Kentucky is top 5 least educated top 5 poorest top 5 most dependent on the federal government for aid states. And the 2 worst Senators Rand Paul and Mitch McConnell. Interesting

    1. @Galaxy Glitter Latte Less than 400 kids under the age of 18 have died from COVID. That equates to .00054% change of dying. Its very close to the number of kids that die of the FLU each year, yet we don’t require they be vaccinated and masked. In almost every single one of those COVID death cases above the child had one of more pre-existing health issues, like cancer or severe obesity. So I’ll agree that if you have any pre-existing health issues you should get vaccinated. If not, do you expect the country to shut down whenever theres the slightest chance that a handful of kids might die. Life comes with a certain level of risk that if you stayed scare your while life and hide you’re not really living. It’s a guarantee that you will eventually die, however its not a guarantee that you’ve actually lived – that’s up to you and the level of risk you’re willing to endure. And in this cases kids dying of COVID is EXTREMELY LOW. If they catch it, they’ll get over it, and be immuned.

    2. @AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL! Liar, liar pants on fire:
At least 650,532 Americans have died from Covid-19 since the start of the pandemic, averaging more than 1,100 deaths per day since the first coronavirus death was reported in late February 2020, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University.

New Jersey — which faced a brutal early surge of Covid-19 infections in spring 2020 — has the nation’s highest coronavirus death rate, totaling 303 fatalities per 100,000 residents since the start of the pandemic last year, according to CDC data.

Mississippi has the second-highest death rate, at 291 per 100,000 people, a toll driven partly by a recent wave of infections that’s left Mississippi with the nation’s third-highest rate of new cases per day in the last week.

    3. @SMS Well than congratulations on passing the 8 step course. Where should I send your “WOKE DOPE OF THE MONTH” graduation certificate?

    4. @Galaxy Glitter Latte god are you a little slow. I’ve had covid 19. Had flus a lot worse. That’s for sure. I work for my health insurance there Einstein. Have for 35 years. My dr says I don’t have to worry about this over blown virus. It’s great being healthy. Paid off living good and taking vitamins

  2. 18 months into the pandemic and he says “I didn’t pay attention”.

How the heck did he manage to stay alive for 42 years?

    1. @Mario Off-Topic who should, someone that’s been V’d? (As anyone should surely be aware, the V does zero to stop transmission). Don’t let anyone block a hospital bed then.

    2. @Lianne459 ….yeah 38,000+ not still alive within 2 days of the V, and in Israel, the highest hospital numbers are double V’d. It does zero to stop transmission, and just about does anything to stop lethality as is only 0.84% efficacy based on the correct metric; absolute risk reduction.

    1. @LIT Hundreds or thousands of people die in this country everyday. People like you are using deaths from other causes and mixing them in with your lying narrative to keep Americans in fear. Only fear you better have is hoping no patriots get a hold of you or your buddies in the MSM for the pain and misery you caused.

  3. America is not only sick of covid… you are clearly having a collective mental breakdown 😬😢
    Take care overthere 🙏🙏🙏

    1. @Shawn O’Connor nope that’s the republicans that are doing what you said.
Republicans are only 35% of the voters, no one what’s you kind of system.
      Republicans are RIP off artists

    2. @Shawn O’Connor well God bless you and your family hope there are no lasting systems. Has it been 8 months? Here in Texas we are really having a hard time. The non vaxxed are taking our kids with them. I have posted what we are seeing on our news and on news paper locally. The one posting is my weather it comes each day with the new infections and the deaths. Please tell the truth. You are killing these idiots with your evil lies. God is a vengeful God. Something about the sins of the father. Liar. Thieves and murderers are all the same. Beware God is Vengeful and sees your sins.Hays County now reports the number of people who are currently hospitalized by vaccination status. Although COVID-19–associated hospitalizations and deaths have occurred more frequently in adults,† COVID-19 can also lead to severe outcomes in children and adolescents (1,2). Schools are opening for in-person learning, and many prekindergarten children are returning to early care and education programs during a time when the number of COVID-19 cases caused by the highly transmissible B.1.617.2 (Delta) variant of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, is increasing.§ Therefore, it is important to monitor indicators of severe COVID-19 among children and adolescents. This analysis uses Coronavirus Disease 2019–Associated Hospitalization Surveillance Network (COVID-NET)¶ data to describe COVID-19–associated hospitalizations among U.S. children and adolescents aged 0–17 years. During March 1, 2020–August 14, 2021, the cumulative incidence of COVID-19–associated hospitalizations was 49.7 per 100,000 children and adolescents. The weekly COVID-19–associated hospitalization rate per 100,000 children and adolescents during the week ending August 14, 2021 (1.4) was nearly five times the rate during the week ending June 26, 2021 (0.3); among children aged 0–4 years, the weekly hospitalization rate during the week ending August 14, 2021, was nearly 10 times that during the week ending June 26, 2021.** During June 20–July 31, 2021, the hospitalization rate among unvaccinated adolescents (aged 12–17 years) was 10.1 times higher than that among fully vaccinated adolescents. Among all hospitalized children and adolescents with COVID-19, the proportions with indicators of severe disease (such as intensive care unit [ICU] admission) after the Delta variant became predominant (June 20–July 31, 2021) were similar to those earlier in the pandemic (March 1, 2020–June 19, 2021). Implementation of preventive measures to reduce transmission and severe outcomes in children is critical, including vaccination of eligible persons, universal mask wearing in schools, recommended mask wearing by persons aged ≥2 years in other indoor public spaces and child care centers,†† and quarantining as recommended after exposure to persons with COVID-19.§§Hays CountyAs of Fri, Sep 10, 2021, 8:20 AM EDT

    3. @Carl Weller 90% intubated and those dying are unvaccinated in US.
Doesn’t matter about anywhere else, stay on point.

  4. friendly reminder that no matter how many american flags you fly or how much you pray or sing the national anthem covid believes in you more than you believe in it…

    1. @TIgre my “bubble” is with MY friends and family, nobody else’s. If I find out somebody is sick, I pray for them to get better while staying away from them. What I don’t do is make it a political showdown by sarcastically talking in a deep South tone saying “yea murica, freedom!” Doesn’t help the situation at all

    2. @Matthew Sigurdson
You remind me of Cain: “I know not; am I my brother’s keeper?” I guess “love thy neighbor” doesn’t have any meaning to you unless you get to personally pick said neighbor and as long as this neighbor is going conform with you …?

If you truly loved your country, if you were a true patriot, you would do what’s right for this country and put your childish freedom claim fantasies on the back burner. If you were honest with yourself, you would admit that you are only talking about your very own freedom privileges and that you don’t give a rat’s a$$ about anybody else’s. FYI, you and your fellow believers are not what makes this country so great; however, you are part of what is ailing this country!

May your god have mercy on your pitiful, selfish soul!

    3. @notblind No, you’re not paying attention. # 1, I am sick and tired of this nonsense. You have you’re opinion and I have mine
NOTHING will change either of our minds. Can we agree on that? #2. Trump will NEVER be reinstated regardless of whatever anyone finds (coming up on 1 yr with no PROOF, just rhetoric and 60 thrown out lawsuits). He will never be reinstated because there is no PROTOCOL for it. So Trump will just have to wait until the next election year to start a whole new FRAUD accusation. Your hopes on a reinstatement are masochistic and futile. You need to face it, unless you want to keep complaining about it until you hit your grave. That sounds like a quality life.

  5. “It’s bad to the bone. Get the shot.”
I didn’t think I’d ever utter these words, but: “Listen to the Kentucky hillbilly, please. He is 100% right”

    1. Told forever don’t take the mark.. sickness created.concrete proof in Georgia GUIDESTONES..if you unwilling took the mark.. you are forgiven.. AUTHORITY BURNS……

    2. Billy stuck it out 8 days at home at least 😂 I salute him and I forgive him. He’s learned his lesson and he learned it the hard way.

    1. @Todd Stephens many reasons …..but when she goes back she has said she cannot believe how dumb people are there…….there being fort madison

    1. Now he says, mask, distance, wash your your hands and get your shots.

It seems his research has finally paid off. Perhaps a few other “researchers” will pay heed .

    2. “Don’t be a sheep, think for yourself”!
I never thought I’d see the day when average Joe’s like me with a high school education at most would know more than doctors and scientists.
      Unbelievable!

    1. And Joe Biden should shut the border down to the world over a hundred 176 countries are welcome here and it’s all for the Democratic vote! Spike in covid there’s enough drugs in the United States right now to kill every American off twice over and you’re leaving a comment such as you did! People are brain-dead that watch mainstream Media news

    1. Kiki, I am republican. I dont know a single fellow republican that has not had their vaccines ! So stop spreading your lies and painting all republicans as villains ! Dont be a hate monger.

    1. And we thank you with all are heart. Can you get your friends to move too. We will you a Krispy cream doughnut.

    1. I’m pretty sure we’re seeing the begging of the end for the USA. We are not the shining beacon of democracy we once were. We are more divided than ever, and at least 30% of the country doesn’t believe in science. We have a president forced to essentially mandate vaccines at the federal level because people in red states refuse to get the vaccine because they’ve been programmed it’s evil. It’s going to be real interesting to see where we are as a nation 50 years from now.

    2. @Rusty Shackleford but wait…. Biden is in and he promised to Unite people? I guess its just like every promise he made……………. did he mention doubling gas prices when you voted for him?

    3. @TripleAstyle1 A it’s difficult to unite when so many live in an alternate reality based on lies, misinformation, fear mongering, and self-perpetuating insane conspiracies.

  6. And where is Moscow Mitch? He is a multi millionaire. He has prospered and helped other millionaires and billionaires. Has he helped the people of Kentucky? No

    1. BWAHAHA TALIBAN paints over George Floyd’s mural in Kabul bye bye Demonrats the world hates you also 🤣🤣🤣

  7. The irony. Socialism and universal health care and affordable housing and education. And a living wage would help the people of Kentucky. And they vote for Moscow Mitch who opposes all those things

    1. @Sebastian Addict Bingo 👌 this year has shown how many leftists are fascists in disguise. They must stay out of hospital’s also, because despite having the V, they are still liable super spreaders. They don’t seem to realize the V does zero to stop transmission.

    2. @MK Self since when does getting the V stop you being contagious….
It does zero to stop transmission, it barely works at it’s intended purpose; reducing lethality.

    1. It would seem that way if you watched fake news all day. In reality, America is full of freedom loving Patriots that are taking back our country from the Authoritarian death cult of the left. #Winning #AmericaFirst

    1. @Martin Dread When in the last 10 years have hospitals been on the brink of collapse and ran out of ICU beds to the point they’re putting people in parking lots and cafeterias?

    2. @Jaden A. Truth Where is there now? CNN is pure propaganda.. charlie chester said so if you don’t believe me.. gullible sheep

    3. And Joe Biden has the Southern border wide-open to over 180 countries that is what’s going to destroy America hold on tight
