It’s now a crime in Georgia to give voters in line food and water

Republicans in Georgia have passed a sweeping elections bill that voting rights advocates say is a bald-faced attempt at voter suppression.
The new law imposes new voter identification requirements for absentee ballots, empowers state officials to take over local elections boards, limits the use of ballot drop boxes and makes it a crime to approach voters in line to give them food and water.
The law is seen as a win for former President Trump and his allies, who falsely claimed widespread voter fraud during the 2020 election. Trump himself pressured Georgia leaders to overturn Joe Biden's victory in the state.
President Biden has called bills like this "sick" and "un-American." Other Republican-led states are considering similar voter suppression laws, sparking calls for federal legislation to set a national baseline for voting rules.
Advocates said they were alarmed by measures that will allow any Georgian to lodge an unlimited number of challenges to voter registrations and eligibility, saying it could put a target on voters of color.
And Democrats in the Georgia Senate lambasted measures that boot the secretary of state as chair of the state elections board and allow lawmakers to install his replacement, giving lawmakers three of five appointments.
Voting rights groups argue that granting the state new powers over county elections bucks the tradition of local control and could lead to a scenario in which state officials swoop in to prevent a county from certifying its election results.

    1. @William Dozier It would be open authoritarian fascism turning into a murderous regime? You don’t see this as a problem?

    2. @William Dozier You can close your eyes and say “lalalala” or rather “TrumpTrumpTrump” as much as you like – fact is, that Biden has more competence, empathy and decency in his little finger than Trump has ever had in his entire life combined.
It’s a god sent that this danger democracy and security in your own country and for the entire world is GONE!
Now it’s time to clean the rest of the disgusting, corrupt magats out of the system

    3. Remember the old adage: ’Success is the best revenge.’
So, no matter the obstacle put in front of you by these repugnant republicans, get out there and VOTE!
If you have to crawl, slither or walk a hundred miles: VOTE!
If you have to stand in long, long lines, bring your own water and food, bring a chair, bring a sleeping bag or a damn bed if necessary. Just stay in that line ’til it is your turn and then VOTE!

  1. Look GA already showed yal fool’s what they could do and yal want to keep playin OK ok
GEORGIA VOTE THEM ALL OUT 🙏

    1. @jeck jeck they will only get worse and worse because at some point, the majority of them decided they either needed to defend, deflect from, lie about or flatly ignore everything there people do or the sky will fall.🤦

    2. @jeck jeck which generally means they spend a lot of time embarrassing themselves, all for people who don’t give a damn about them.

    3. @george broff well that’s so didn’t answer that question. What purpose does it serve do not allow people to hand out bottles of water to people waiting in line to vote?

    1. That’s the point, it’s to stop people from being influenced to vote a certain way by having food and water handed out by candidate’s teams.

    2. How about not stuffing your face with food for 30 min? How about that? People cant go half an hour with having to eat? Wtf. Seriously, people need to stop eating 24/7.

    3. @Dan Chick Dan stop it. Many of these people wait up 7 frigging hours in line just to cast a ballot and you know it because there’s many interviews with people talking about it.

    4. This is more than that… For example the ID verification in the voting polls can be potentially be abused, where the person who is in charge for ID requirements can target Afrian American by being meticulous to their ID verification in which they can reject, preventing them to vote. Secondly, for people whose ID is not eligible, and try to process a new ID. The state can delay the process, to the point that they won’t receive their new eligible ID just in time to vote!

    2. OMG you’d think going to vote is like trekking through the Sahara Desert for a friggin month. This is only limiting possible voter influence 150 feet from the polling station. I have never stood in a voting line worrying I was starving or dehydrating even though sometimes it take hours. Adults Black White Purple really do know how to take care of themselves even though the Dems believe Black People cannot. They cannot log into anything on the internet now they cannot even plan to take a bottle of water with them to the Polling Station.

    3. @Terry Henry People have not been waiting in line for 8 hours until recently, not for 100 years in Georgia, so if they don’t want people giving water bottles they need to find a way to make voting in line less than an hour for EVERYONE. That’S the FAIR rule for EVERYONE

    4. @S Userman An eight hour wait is typical. Maybe not in your white Republican rural area, but in the Black Democrat urban area, it very much is and you should be outraged by that.

    5. @Kern Albert That only happened because of unusually high turnout. You should be outraged at the historical average of low turnout in those areas previously.

  2. Georgia wake up all this is about the next presidential elections in 2024stay safe and blessed 🙏🙏🙏

    1. YES PLEASE ,VOTE AS IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDES ON IT .I REMEMBER THOSE WORDS ON LAST VOTING 😊.GOOD LUCK REPUS

    2. we’re up and we couldn’t care less about a stupid water and food voting law. Anybody crying about this is an inbred idiot with so little conflict and problem in their lives that they feel the need to degrade the intelligence and capability of black people to make themselves feel better

    3. @The Real American Patriot! Idk about that. It was his only play. Let’s face it, Stacey is coming for his azz/job!!! She could’ve got any job she wanted in the Biden administration. But she didn’t want a job there bc Kemp cheated her out of that Governor’s mansion. She picked her self up and came back swinging. Turned the state of Georgia BLUE!!! She’s coming and he knows it.

  3. That is a wierd law.
They are. Just going to have to make sure they take their own snackes and water. I suspect the courts will strike this law down as it is just harassment of voters and obvious voter suppression

    1. @Teo’li exactly….and l moved to Georgia from California August 2020. Cost me 5 grand…property is affordable. I really like it here….but this Jim Crowe b.s. is too much. Dayummm its 2021….nothing has changed.

    2. @Yah’s Isolele curious why? White people live in suburbs which mean less people. Black and brown live in the cities where there are more people. More people=more wait.

    3. @Jenix 7176 Biden saved America.
Biden is winning. Trump is whining. So sorry about your luck with that.

    1. Maybe because your standards are so backwards and ridiculous. You keep shifting what “isn’t okay” to be whatever MSM and establishment democrats tell you to. This really isn’t a serious issue, trust me

    1. I don’t think they realize how this is going to backfire on them. Georgia learned they could go blue if people turned out and seeing how the republicans are trying to suppress that is going to make people turn out more. Seeing a black women dragged away by two white cops because she knocked on a door is not a good look for them either.

    2. @Stella Shepherdit’s a food and drink law bro. Calm down. You need to be thinking about how all the establishment democratic party’s lies about stimulus is going to affect turnout. If your going to come at the republicans then levy a substantive criticism at them. These types of attacks are as meaningless and as ineffective calling biden “socialist”

    3. @Stella Shepherd You’re 100% correct. It will backfire, and they’re constituents can blame themselves.

    1. you shouldn’t need to bribe people. the people giving out the bribes should already be in prison they are lucky this wasn’t illegal before..

    2. @MrBrownstainbear
I don’t understand. Are people being bribed with snacks?
I’m not trying to be cute. What is the argument here?

    3. @Philip Stowers They are being bribed with fast food yeah. And people are mad because they know it will lose them votes because they were trading food for votes.

    4. @Philip Stowers Can you explain how giving someone food right before they vote is NOT a bribe? You might not understand the term.

    5. @MrBrownstainbear WAIT! You people think others are bribing folks for votes? Wow, really? Hmmm…I wonder if someone in line, named Jim, would vote Repugnican if offered grilled crow? Just a thought!

    1. Remember who does the voting…
A democracy only works if you have a well-informed, and/or educated populous.
Perhaps, it’s the voting public that’s “Lost their Minds”.
And, we all know which (Right) side of the fence that is…

    2. Remember the old adage: ’Success is the best revenge.’

    3. @dan dansen Absolutely…..
      The current GOP = Fascism.
Yet the republican freedom voters still don’t seem to get it…. Dah…

    4. @Ashlynne Shain it appears that the law as written applies to ALL voters. Please include which provisions specifically target POC.

    1. I mean I agree with you that capitalism is SOMETIMES inappropriate I don’t hold the view that these voting laws are “racist” or particularly overbearing. If you are lazy and stupid then maybe you shouldn’t vote

    1. @J Briggs you mean thousands of riots and just hundreds got arrested for broken some doors in US capital.

    2. Like I was saying they act like she stormed the capita…l they didn’t rest nobody on that day.. they arrest them days later

  4. Omg y’all , so apparently giving water to people can lead to fraudulent elections ….. 😤😤😤

    1. Maybe. When they are wearing a candidates shirt and tell you to vote for someone as they are giving you water then maybe that will sway an idiot.

    2. @Muthafucka Jones it is already illegal to appear with attire for any candidate vying for office in polling stations.so your logic is idiotic. But like Republicans telling voters their vote was not going to count, even these will backfire on Republicans.

  5. As Jesus always said, “feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty unless they are in line to vote in Georgia. Citizens need to earn their right for representative democracy by surviving government enforced fasting.”

    1. tha law is not about water. They made it ill eagle ta give out any liquids cause tha Dems were handin out Colt 45 malt liquor and tradin it fer votes. Thay were getting peeple plastered drunk and connin them ta vote Demokrat. thay would throw in a chicken leg ta eat fer an extra Dem vote. You take a bucket of KFC and thats alot of votes U cood buy.

    2. @Tim Toolman water.. If you stand 11 hours in line with a sunny day, you’ll need water. What’s next? All kindness is forbidden?

    1. Why are democrats so afraid of people having to show I.D? And by giving things out for free you’re buying a vote. But of course the idiots on the left have no common sense.

    2. @DFI Construction none at all. Make no sense why these people are so against secession. They hate us but they absolutely refuse to leave us alone.

    3. @DFI Construction because they think so little of minorities that they think minorities aren’t capable of having the resources to get an id. Typical racism from the left

  6. I never thought I’d see such a barbaric law in America! What the hell is wrong with those people in Georgia? They hate democracy!

    1. @Kegan Vlogs Sometimes all the cheaters were Trumpists (in the few individual cases), and on a larger scale it has always been Republikkkans who cheated their way to minority rule

    2. @Kegan Vlogs Sometimes no cheating I last election. Multiple lawsuits filed and both evidence found. This is Republicans just being sore Losers and limiting voting.

    3. @Good Vibes Don’t you see what the did 😂. They put Biden in there just to stomp progressive and liberal voters , Biden has always been a grifter and pro corporations just like they all are. Where u guys at on Biden track record with race of treatment with women. They put Biden in to shove our nose in it 😂 Biden was best Democratic Party had ? Really , I mean at least with Clinton they play that part good. Enjoy the show

  7. Free water and food will be handed out in every polling place in Georgia, just get it before you get in line to vote these mfs out.

    1. @Kegan Vlogs Sometimes The GOP is just shooting them selves in the foot. They are really showing their true colors now

    2. knowing that the idiots who are making a big deal out of this innocuous voting restriction won’t have a home to congregate is one of the main reasons I’m cheering on the decline of ALL msm

    3. @Adam Ling : That’s all they can do. There are more Dems and Independents so they have to cheat if they want to win rather than change their policies so people would be willing to vote for them.

    1. We need to keep voting to the people to understand the consequence of policy – people who understand economic law – not people who are voting against someone who they think is a racist – without any evidence that he is a racist – or voting for someone they ‘like better’ – these important decisions need to be by people who are educated in this area – unfortunately we needs to restrict voting to accomplish this.

    2. @Jerry yup OK cnn boy. 80 million voted for dementia joe…no wide spread fraud there. Or do you want me to believe that your all that dumb…
