You need massive restructuring of police in the US that is so obvious and has been long before these latest issues and born out even more by their interaction after the Llyod issue etc. The US police are so far behind the rest of the developed world in policing its hardly a secret. They need to be trained and held accountable in deescalation and also why are the police unions even involved. What professional police force has police unions given so much power? The police are only there to look after the welfare of the people but US police seem to be a law unto themselves and the message has been lost. Get a plan, train train and train them in modern police techniques and HOLD them accountable.
mayor Frey, why are you sticking up for these protesters? Aren’t they the ones that just burned your city down. And now you voted to close the police department.
