  1. As a nurse, I have been seeing these horrific accounts over the past few weeks. It really really saddens me to hear these things. Jamaica has a bigger problem than COVID, the entire healthcare system is a PROBLEM. Can anyone, someone put an agenda together to address these issues? If we continue this way, we will not have a tourism industry. The world is taking notes! May God give these families a piece that passeth all understanding!

    1. I totally agree with you as a Nurse myself I find it disturbing to be reading constantly of what appears to be happening to some patients at the hospitals in Jamaica. The Ministry of Health and the government has alot to answer to. Most of these cases should go to coroner and if there is any justice pin numbers or licences should be revoked and people prosecuted for negligence.

    2. @ODIZZLE_3 exactly….if they new that their jobs depends on their attitude and actions we wouldn’t be complaining now trust mi

    3. @mich mich the question is..where is the Nursing Council of Jamaica in all of this? They should be launching their own investigation…it seems all are asleep at the wheels…no accountability whatsoever…..I don’t know which I fear more…criminals or the healthcare system….because it seems one is screwed if they come in contact with either…

  2. That nurse should be reprimanded or find work as a waitress. She is clearly not suited for the healthcare field.

    1. @Lynchpin I was admitted to mph years ago and after eleven pm it was bed time for all. The patient beside me was crying for pain and she was told to shut up. She died and it was morning before she was moved. Nurse had to wake up at five before things start happening.

    2. @Dee Cashen Shame again on that nurse, nurses dont go on duty to sleep, so if a patient has a cardiac arrest while she is in sleeping mode he/she will have to die because it’s her sleeping time. God will take care of the likes of them

  3. That nurses name should be revealed to the public, what is she doing working within a health facility with such heartless attitude, she should be fired immideately and not allowed to work in anymore health facility. These people just looking a paycheck and not at all concern about their duties surrounding their job title SMH .

    1. A so nuff a them nurses gwaan all over Jamaica. Early morning is their Sleeping hours, which is basically like you going to a police station in the early morning. They all going treat you the same way. Please note, my own mother was a nurse, so i know them all too well. May the Lord be with this lady and her family though, and just pray no one else in they family get sick and die. This Covid thing really real right now. Sad times!

    1. Not sure if anyone cares but yesterday I hacked my gfs Instagram account using Instapwn. Cant link here so search for it on google enjoy!

  4. OMG !!!!! THIS RIDICULOUS HOW CAN WE TAKE THESE THING’S LIGHTLY PEOPLE’S LIFE MATTERS WE HAVE TO DO BETTER THIS BRING TEARS DOWN MY FACE πŸ˜ͺπŸ˜ͺπŸ˜ͺπŸ˜ͺπŸ˜ͺπŸ˜ͺπŸ˜ͺ

  5. WHEN KRYSTAL I TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE PROFESSIONALLY SHE WAS BASHED AND THEY MADE IT SEEMS LIKE IT WAS A POLITICAL AFFAIR WHEN SHE WAS CONCERNED AND I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANY OF THIS IN ALL MY LIFE AM CONCERNED ABOUT PEOPLE, FAMILIES AND FRIENDS THE HEALTH SECTOR NEEDS HELP πŸ˜“πŸ˜“πŸ˜“πŸ˜“πŸ˜“πŸ˜“

  6. I will never go to the universe hospital not even to clip my toe nails . To many Horror Stories RIPπŸ₯€

  7. Patients with difficulty breathing, breathing problems should be on continuous pulse ox bedside monitoring.

  8. Condolences to the family. I don’t know what going with there hospital. People just dying so and Jamaica πŸ‡―πŸ‡². God have mercy on Jamaica πŸ‡―πŸ‡²

  9. The nursing system in Jamaica needs an audit. How dare a nurse chastise a family member for calling at whatever time due to concerns for their loved one? What do those nurses think they are reporting to work for??!! If they were doing a great job then no one would have to be calling them to alert them to a patient’s needs!!

    1. She is stupid maybe she wants to sleep jamaica system won’t get these are happening too often and nothing is done to it

    2. I bet when asked while young, what they want to be when they grow up, they replied NURSE and Why? They said, “Because I want to help people” Hypocrites!

    3. Shocking☹how rude….is there a new meaning to the words “empathy/compassion” or are they no longer needed in the field of nursing? My condolences to the family. May he rest in eternal peaceπŸ™‡β€β™€οΈ.

  10. On the part of the nurse that was disrespectful to turn down this lady’s call to her husband. Where Covid is concerned, people sometimes appears to be feeling well and after moving about ,then suddenly would take turn for the worst especially if there was an underline sickness. May this family find the strength to carry on. If this virus continues like this, many more will die this way.

  11. Yes KPH and their stink nurses did the same to my father and he died too in 2020. The nurses esp are rude and not helpful at all. Always in theirs phones and always arguing about bed.

    1. I am here still stuck at that point. I have heard of transfer but turning people away, telling them to go somewhere else is Very New and Strange to me.

  12. When I took my mother to kph for pain in her side…shortly after she got strokes and pneumonia in that same hospital a day after they relase her she died. Only God knows..the system is failing us
