@Lynn Potter I thought so. You don’t know what it means. Her speech made perfect common sense. Systemic racism is our enemy – not the police itself. If someone with a mental health problem is having, say, a panic attack in the street should you not call a mental health professional instead of the police who have no training in how to hand the unfortunate person? @Vic J Democrats are different, even with a filibuster proof majority they got Republican input. The ACA was fundamentally the Republican counter to Bill Clinton’s healthcare initiative, with MA gov Romney’s deployed plan thrown in for good measure. All their legislation was like that. And all the legislation received zero Republican votes – because that’s how Democrats and Republicans are, and how they’re different.

I was leery about Carville’s cheerleading but it’s probably good to have some positive voice too, ‘we can do it,’ not just `we’ve got to do it` – `it can work magnificently` not just `to lose would be catastrophic.`

Drealskero I can see the serious consequences of having a corrupt president. In fact, from where I’m sitting in managed isolation in a hotel in little ol’ New Zealand, what I’m watching is a plutocracy turning into an autocracy. What is happening in the US is terribly frightening because of the the impacts the decisions made by America’s current administration are having beyond its borders. And 40% of Americans are going along with it. If Trump is re-elected in November, god help all of us. I hope Americans are not complacent on Nov 3.
