Joe Biden Helped At Debate By Extremes Of His Opponents | Morning Joe | MSNBC

  1. Instead of fixing their own party that Donald hijacked these former-Republicans and No-Trump Republicans are attempting to mold the Democrat party into mirroring the GOP of the past.

    1. It looked like during the accusation of “did you forget what you said” Biden asked Bernie to get a second opinion and Bernie told him the accusation was wrong. I am glad someone like Bernie Sanders is a candidate, because he does not support attacks on characters or even attacks on someone misspeaking. He only wants to have a debate on actions and policies that the candidates claim to want to put in action, and he wants people to be held to those claims.

    2. This is how you know Americans are suckers. The corporate media portrays universal healthcare as an extreme position, even though every other developed nation has it except the USA. The USA is also the only developed nation with a huge opioids problem because their terrible expensive for profit healthcare system has led to doctors prescribing drugs to patients for cash bonuses that the patient didn’t need.

    1. Castro misconstrued what Biden said and tried to make it seem as if Biden forgot what he spoke. His attempt to make Biden look old backfired because it instead made him (Castro) look stupid and petty.

    2. Biden’s answer to the resiliency question was very powerful. When he talked about losing his wife and daughter and then said Beau dying was like losing part of his soul he was extremely sincere and, although I’m a Buttigieg supporter, that really moved me.

    1. So… what I’m hearing here is that none of you actually watched/listened to the video. The “extremes” clearly isn’t referring to universal healthcare. Maybe Youtube comment sections should be locked behind a listening comprehension test.

    2. Ichijo Festival Morning Joe is just noise. sorry none of us paid attention to the subtleties of MSNBC propaganda. next time are we going to fill out your Captcha to use YouTube? nobody will use it after that day, and the discussion will migrate to another platform while remaining of much the same substance. go preach your abridgments to speech to a society that wants them, like North Korea

    3. @CJ J That’s the point, you pay for it in taxes. However, ideally, your wages should stay relatively the same (or increase) as you are no longer subsidizing your health coverage via your employer. In fact, you could argue that everyone having comprehensive coverage should have a net positive on the economy. Of course, this is all hypothetical, and still requires corporate America’s cooperation.
How did I fail to acknowledge any of your prior cogent points?

    4. @Adrian L To answer that last question, to be blunt, it’s because I wasn’t saying what you wanted to hear.
People truly fail to grasp how massive of a program this would be. If the cost comes in at $3 trillion, it would be 50% of the total budget. More than Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, the whole military budget and interest on the debt combined.
Personally, I think if it comes in at $3 trillion or less it will be a miracle. The $4 trillion we currently spend doesn’t include what I call “unused medical procedures.” Times when someone would see a doctor about something but doesn’t due to not having insurance or having a large copay. If the M4A plan has no copays or deductibles, people will go. The example I like to use is a sprained ankle. If you have a $500 or even $250 copay, you aren’t likely to go to the ER unless it doesn’t get better in a few days. But if there’s nothing out of pocket…
Regardless of costs, to me, it comes down to who do you trust to make your health care choices, a corporation or the government. And as little as you should trust the government, its still millions of times more than you should trust any corporation. But the costs have to be honestly discussed.

    5. I pay $374 a month for my insurance. Having it cut to $250 in taxes and not have to pay high deductibles and copays. Yeah what a horrible tax. 🙄 This talking point of higher taxes has been explained over and over again.

  2. Morning Joe is a menace to society. First, they helped Trump get elected by basically making Trump a co-host on their show and now that Trump is mean to them they want to overcorrect by pushing Biden down our throats. Hey Joe, show the part where Biden’s teeth almost fell out of his mouth.

  3. I’ve always enjoyed Morning Joe and have felt it to be pretty reasonable with most issues. But the Biden-heavy push lately, at the expense of candidates like Elizabeth Warren, has become obviously intentional.

    1. Bernie my man. Elizabeth Warren is the next Obama. She has allegedly had secret meetings with Hillary Clinton and top DNC officials.

  4. Are you fcking kidding me?!? Biden had Zero defense for every question and went on a complete rambling tangent when questioned about his book quote. Everyone in the restaurant I watched it in initially thought he was stroking out

  5. Extreme???? Joe makes me laugh. In Canada, Biden is probably farther right than our conservatives. According to Joe, Canada must be an extreme country.

    1. @Piktor Music Can you imagine a candidate running in Canada proposing an American style, for-profit “healthcare” system? It boggles the mind that a large chunk of Americans is okay with paying much more for much less.

    1. Wrong. They’re out of touch with the Bernie nutter, the left’s equivalent of trump’s base. The average voter is in the middle. Not only that but only a middle candidate can steal votes from the middle right and they played a huge part in trump’s win.

  6. Yeesh. Universal healthcare isn’t a revolutionary concept. Nor is it a goal not worth fighting for. Nor is it an unreachable dream.
Morning Joe is a jaded old man. We’ll keep asking for it for decades to come.

  7. Morning Joe seems to have become the free publicity wing for the Biden campaign – there is no real value to be found here….

  8. I live in the midwest, they are more open to medicare for all than you think. Four things they absolutely do hate is private healthcare, obamacare, anyone associated with obama, and establishment politicians. Also you all obviously don’t understand the definition of a debate. Also if biden can’t defend himself against the democrats, how do you think it will go with the republicans.

  9. Joe “The senate will never, ever pass Medicare for all.”. Then America is doomed when a Protection Racket (Insurance) decides whether you live or die depending on how much you can pay. Very Mafia-like.

    1. I’m over 65 and, believe me, they still do. Medicare isn’t free. You can have Medicare and also pay for a Prescription Drug Plan and a Medicare Supplement and have plenty of medical bills.

  10. Stop this naked spin. Biden flubbed right and left. He can’t keep his foot out of his mouth or even remember “record players” are no longer in use. He flogs Obama constantly and shamelessly, as if the work Obama did belongs to him. Castro did exactly THE RIGHT THING calling Biden out for *WHAT WE HAVE ALL OBSERVED.* Biden does not have the stamina, memory, concentration, intellectual powess or VISION to be president of this country, or to DEFEAT TRUMP.

  11. Why does MSNBC defend Joe Biden all the time? At first you defended him against Kamala Harris. Now you defend him against Julian Castro. Either Joe can stand up on his own two feet or he can’t. Do you think Trump is going to take it easy on him if he ever makes it that far??
