david holder – all true, but sadly this would also catch people quite innocently just doing what Trump said. Being dumb enough to believe a word this guy says should not be punished with 5 years in prison.
What I am more interested in currently is the fact that US intelligence are now suggesting that it was Russian interference action that formulated this point about mail ballots being unsafe, as far back as March, and now Trump is running with it. Coincidence?

What all posting here need to understand is that it is not about the process, the way it works in each State, the ability to track, the ability to vote and post, or drop off in a ballot box, or to even take the ballot along in person, nor even about the truth. It is a total scattergun effort to sow distrust in the system. If enough people do that then Trump can claim the vote was rigged, was cheated, and that he really won or you need a redo.
If the mail in issue had never been surfaced by Russian antagonists then it would be something else. “Voting in person is fraught with fraud”, “voting at your school is illegal”, “voting without an ID card is fraud”, “voting without a driving license is fraud”, voting while in possession of a middle initial is fraud” – all these are more were used last time, and will be used again.
This is all to foster enough distrust as to guarantee a Trump victory, or to guarantee a claim of cheating.
If even one Democrat is caught voting twice Trump will claim victory in the election. And if multiple Republicans are caught Trump will claim they were testing the system. In the US anything is okay if you are a Republican. (Just ask Kyle Rittenhouse and Michael Forest Reinoehl (if only you could).

@jarski440 Each vote is checked against the registry. It doesn’t matter if someone gets their hands on more than one. How much voter fraud has been discovered with mail in voting in the past? I don’t even qualify for mail in voting in Texas. How many states are sending ballots to every registered voter? If you could cheat by just sending all of your supporters an extra few ballots, then you can bet that is what the repubs would do. Oh right! Trump just told his supporters to submit mutliple votes.
