  1. Wow this is a sham, love how they started with “raise taxes” and ended with “will raise costs” … straight up lie, if it’s in taxes or not, it’s drastically cheaper for people when not going through insurance companies who take a chunk of money out for no reason, Medicare does it at 2% cost, insurance companies do it at 20+ % cost, to say it’s gonna cost more is so dishonest

    1. We have had universal healthcare for a long time for Triable registered Native Americans. It provides care equal care at a much less cost. It’s cheaper and guess what? Taxes pay for it!!! You know why it’s cheaper? Because you take out the middle man insurance. You take out the profit. Guess what? They pay their healthcare employees more than the average and it still costs less.

Insurance companies and big for profit healthcare are the ones who are saying this is bad / lobbying government that this is bad. Why because they will loose their money making cow off of your health.

    2. I mean personally if I paid a little bit more in taxes to not have to pay out all the money out of my check each month and even after going to the doctor I still have to pay more. Makes no sense to me. Health insurance is way to expensive for what we actually get out of it. Insurance companies are profiting so much each year yet insurance keeps rising. Why? If we all were under the same plan and it was implemented then you skip the middle man which always makes things more expensive.

  2. You can not do what Corey did and separate yourself from the others at the top. That won’t move the needle for him.

  3. We can’t have universal healthcare or we’ll become.. socialists! Just like all of these countries:

    Australia
    Austria
    Bahrain
    Belgium
    Brunei
    Canada
    Cyprus
    Denmark
    Finland
    France
    Germany
    Greece
    Hong Kong
    Iceland
    Ireland
    Israel
    Italy
    Japan
    Kuwait
    Luxembourg
    Netherlands
    New Zealand
    Norway
    Portugal
    Singapore
    Solvenia
    South Korea
    Spain
    Sweden
    Switzerland
    United Arab Emirates
    United Kingdom

It’s embarrassing how we claim we are the world’s most successful, weathiest nation yet can’t guarantee hethcare as a basic right for our citizens and clean drinking water to all of our cities.

  4. Its quite simple .You pay more tax but don’t have to pay much, much more on health care insurance. Its not rocket science folks.

    1. How will you deal with the following
Doctors refusing to work for the money that the feds pay. The only reason medicare works is private insurance pays more and allows doctors to treat medicare at break even profit/loss .. There are Doctors that do not see any Medicare patients . Will the Feds throw these doctors in jail ?
and where will the rich in the world go for their life threatening issues if America destroys its system. ?
Just those two and please don’t go off on a tangent as I am looking for clarity no agreement . I just want to see how you think

    2. @Quiet Entropy And if you get your insurance through your job you only pay about 25% of the premium. And don’t forget the tax increase will need to cover those with no insurance and those on Medicaid. That’s about 20% of the population.
Out of the $4 trillion we spend as a country, profit for insurance companies is less than $100 billion of that.

  5. Like Warren but her not thanking Biden for helping getting the financial protection act pass. That’s what won’t get her the nomination.

  6. I thought a few of the other candidates were ok until they attacked Warren with fake narratives.
Now I wouldn’t vote for any of those: Biden, Amy, Pete. They’re not being honest. Tulsi is just off the rails completely…

  7. Willie Geist says single-payer will raise “cost” on the middle class, so, I guess the “middle” class earns a million dollars a year. Right?

    1. @Grumpy Oldfella – America is paying 100% more than everyone else and getting half the benefit. So, we are definitely paying for “nice things” we’re just not getting nice things. What we’re getting is screwed.

  8. There are other considerations that need to be added to “Yes” concerning Medicare for All. That IS a conservative Republican tactic to not allow a full answer. The other considerations to “Yes” are the fact that “Yes, taxes will increase a few hundred dollars a year, BUT, there will be no more insurance premiums or co-pay and prescription costs will drop dramatically. This will save the middle class thousands of dollars a year. Funny how none of the media wants to hear ALL of the facts, just their talking points.

    1. She is creating a debate because it is not a yes or no question. Overall your costs go down. Your taxes go up but your health care costs go down.

  9. MIKE BARNACLE, ELIZABETH DIDN’T LOOK AT JOE BECAUSE HE WAS F****** YELLING AT HER 2FT FROM HER FACE!!!!! That’s what I noticed, how small Joe was in that moment!

    1. My head and my heart say Elizabeth. Cuz she has to pick a very young VP. Which I’ve heard from her she is looking into

  10. Middle class tax will go up, but the overall “costs” will go down in her plan. The one word answer would also be ingenious.

    1. If all of Western Europe can do healthcare for all, that costs less and kills less people the ours, why can’t we?

  11. Everything needed in this country including medicare for all can easily be paid for by a flat tax with NO loopholes.

  12. Only just need to watch how joe predictably interrupts Mika to know how Elizabeth Warren is going to be understood here.

  13. Bad take. Firstly, Biden came across as sexist when he screamed at Warren, “I passed the CFPB”. It was unnecessary for him to even get involved in that exchange. Typical of a man to try to take credit for a womans work.
Secondly, Pete Buttigieg clearly had the best night. He took Tulsi A Gabbard to task on Syria, he took on O’Rourke for helping the GOP cut the ad of 2020 on mandatory gun confiscation, and he took on Warren for refusing to answer simple yes no questions and being honest about how you pay for Medicare for All. Buttigieg has been rightly praised by commentators for his deft handling of the debate. Some say he was too aggressive. This is a warm up to the general when Donald Trump is lobbing hand grenades on the debate stage. Politics ain’t beanbag and kumbaya folks! Defend your plans and go on offense. That’s how you win!
