    4. @Curunir That’s cool, but what if one of the percentage dead is you? Do you still think that statistic of the people who have died, and their grieving loved ones are some kind of acceptable loss?

      I am 68, and while generally in good health, I still fall into that over 65 demographic that get the short end of the stick. I am staying home and caring for my 102 years old mom who other than some infirmities is mentally alert and vibrant a personality as she was when she was in her sixties.

      Thank God I live in a Blue State of New Jersey where Governors Murphy and Cuomo are coordinating their efforts. In the mean time I will stay home with mom. At 102 she’s a living history book. If she’s in the mood to reminisce I learn eye witness history from one who lived it. I know that we aren’t immortal, that my mom will die one day. But if she is able to have quality of life and live until she dies of old age… I want her to have that chance.

      Yes, from mom’s perspective 102 is too young to die. Her mom lived long and great grandma lived to the age of 120! Just because people are old, they should not be written off.

    5. @Brian Kochera ABCDT I’ve already had this virus and I didn’t even know I had it till I was tested for antibodies. It didn’t really affect me as much as I thought it would, but I saw this storm coming in December and boosting my immune system. I even have antibodies for this virus so mmph. You have a 94% chance to live and 6% chance to die. I call those some good odds for the rest of you. You probably already had it, if you felt kinda sick during January or February because that’s when I got it.

    5. @Curunir You kinda shot yourself in the foot there, If hospitals are getting paid more for claiming covid on patients then why are they laying off staff at large numbers? Facts are the lock downs are hurting hospitals due to lack of elective surgery’s. By claiming more cases there prolonging lock down’s costing them more money. In what world would it make sense to keep your self closed by reporting false cases to get more money that is actually less money then you would make being fully open?

    3. @Thomas Woods In Florida, it’s nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and churches that have seen increases in Covid-19 cases. Of course Florida only recently started to test people in nursing homes and assisted living facilities; so nobody knows how many carry and/or been exposed to the virus. They can’t even tell anyone how many people have died in those facilities due to Covid-19 or how many nursing assistants, etc. might carry it.

  14. China had one of the harshest lockdown rules in some of it’s cities. It now has new outbreaks.

    Let’s hope that has been taken into consideration and accounted fo for in all states.

    Masks in public places or situations where close proximity can’t be avoided easily should slow things down a little too.

    It’s a serious gamble.

    3. @Joe Suka I am white and actually I do have to put up with it. African Americans and Hispanics think I’m “privileged” since I’m white. However, that’s not the case at all. I’m 24 and there’s African Americans who are my age and they’re famous and rich because they’re good at acting and such. So if I was actually privileged then I would be more famous than them and would be more financially better than them and I would be getting free college like most of the African Americans and Hispanics who I know. Pulling the race card and victim card is more about what you can get from the government system. Most black kids, teenagers and adults of today don’t really care about what happened to their great great great great great grandad who they never met let alone actually care about. In fact, most of the blacks and Hispanics of today are becoming just like the whites of the 1930’s-1960’s. Now they want to make whites the minority and they’re becoming more racist than whites of today. So two wrongs don’t make a right here and sadly there’s no middle ground. However I choose to stand on middle ground because I think it’s stupid fighting over skin color.

    1. @Alicia Taylor What do you consider a high death rate? What did 2 old people with underlying conditions die yesterday. In MI which has the 4th highest death toll in the country we are only at .0075% just to catch COVID. Death toll per capita is almost to little to calculate, and your death toll is high? I think you people better start getting your head wrapped around this. COVID is not going anywhere. You need to learn to live with it. Stay healthy, don’t touch your face, wear a mask, and wash your hands. Everybody knows it is going to be around for at least the rest of the year and probably into next year. Your choices are. 1 learn to live with it and be safe, 2 Go climb back under your bed and live in fear watching all the negativity CNN broadcasts everyday.

    2. Diane K, I don’t know where you live in Indiana, but I live in Columbus. I am over 65 and went online to get tested because of a lingering sore throat, a little bit of a cough, but no fever ever. I got an appointment later that same afternoon. I was tested Thursday, got my results Saturday. Did not have to pay a penny and was negative, thank goodness!
