Jon Ossoff: Sen. Perdue Is ‘Using His Office To Line His Own Pockets’ | The Last Word | MSNBC

Jon Ossoff, Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate in Georgia, says reports of Sen. David Perdue’s (R-GA) use of a subcommittee appointment for stock market gains is “flagrant corruption.” He tells Lawrence O’Donnell it’s “common sense” to prevent senators from trading individual stock to ensure “officials serve us, we who elect them and pay their salaries, and not themselves.” Aired on 11/20/2020.

    1. @Erroneous Monk he was in the meeting, Jesus talk about fake news. He is apart of that committee you nutcase, they were all there.

    2. @Erroneous Monk he received the briefing then dumped his stocks. He’s on the Foreign Relations Committee. Even if he wasn’t at the meeting(which he was) he will still get the minutes pertaining to the any business.

    3. @W Jovan So, according to you he was there but… (a word which negates everything that comes before it) even if he wasn’t… Why make the “even if he wasn’t argument” if he was there. And he’s been cleared by the SEC. No one cares what you think about the issue anymore than we cared what you thought about the Russian collusion garbage. You have proven yourselves to be incapable of discerning anything through your conservative-hate lens. Go away. You have no say in anything. IF you have a problem with Perdue please feel free to write a strongly worded letter to the SEC. I’m sure they’ll give your complaint the same amount of consideration as I do.

    1. @juju malcolm nope. Seems normal to me. And if you don’t understand, your going to understand your rights being gone. Lol.

    2. @Just Me – Hey, Just Me, you still think “Q” was telling you the truth and that Trump is going to save the children?? WHEN? WHEN?? He’s almost out of office now, and if he really knew something, shouldn’t he have done something BEFORE the election, so as to ensure his victory so he could stay in office? Doesn’t any of that create any cognitive dissonance for you? Doesn’t make sense that he wouldn’t have done anything yet, does it??

    3. @John Baker fear mongering doesnt work anymore, I heard all about rights being taken away for 8 years of president Obama. We aren’t stupid.

    1. Trump & his dirty group of senators & followers are doing every wrong thing to stop the change of having the greedy lyin haters of middle class & hard working low income families from having the Democrats as majority of the house cause we could get things done for us 🇺🇸 for a change not just for the rich & wealthy. Do recalls on the rebublicans & democrats who haven’t been helping us deal with this COVID 19 & close down of jobs & businesses plus stimulus now before their VACATION AGAIN!!!!

  1. I don’t understand why Americans keep electing crooks and dishonest senators like Mitch McConnel. Vote for Ossoff he is well prepared, fresh looking not corrupt with no conflict of interest like Perdu.

    1. “Fresh looking”??? Do people like you really exist? You don’t know the first thing about Kohn Ossoff. Nobody does because he’s a nobody.

  2. Jon Ossoff, a prospective Democratic senator from Georgia that proposes an act in congress to stop senators from trading in stocks. We need senators like Ossoff to be elected. Get rid of crooks in the US Senate.

    1. Not gonna happen on Georgia. The guy’s a loser. But he keeps getting Democrats from California to give him money.

    2. What about this schmuck makes you think he’s willing to fight Nancy Pelosi, who led the charge to repeal a similar law, to make it happen?

This is a bipartisan issue, but the opposition to banning insider trading in Congress is also bipartisan. I’m glad Tucker Carlson grilled Kelly Loeffler for doing the same thing as a representative in the U.S. House less than 9 months ago, but everyone seems to have sadly forgotten because her opponent is race-baiting hustler in the mold of Jeremiah Wright.

There were legitimately morally upright candidates on both sides that got buried under the money-grubbing might of the rigged RNC and DNC. The same political parties that buried Ron Paul and Bernie Sanders in a flood of superPAC money and primary election rigging.

Nothing about Jack Osoff (read that aloud) makes me think he has the spine to buck the congressional leadership within his party and make it happen.

    3. @Angel Sandoval Well, that’s why they’re called red states. Duh. But I’m sure the blue states are just so specially gifted with the ability to vote only for the best candidates. That’s why they vote for race-baiters like Ilhan Omar and idiots like AOC and why they KEEP voting for Pelosi and Maxine Waters and Joe Biden.

    1. @Jeremy Hoe ~ And YET……. 😂🥳😂 Thats What they HAVE been and WILL continue to do!!….. at Your Expense!! ~ The American “system” ALLOWS these Morons to run a muck Because NO-ONE from the Law STOPS them!!😂🥳😂

    1. they are not crooks,, crooks break the laws. the lawmakers merely adjust those same laws to cover up their own crimes. remember when they could borrow money from the house bank, then conveniently have i t payed back from friends or bribes. or book deals for books that were never sold with warehouses stacked with unsold books. later they didn’t even bother to print them just received money for the book rights, or given 500 thousand dollars to redecorate their office and then only spend 10 000 from sears and pocket the rest?

  3. Ossoff should hire a stand-in for Perdue, have a debate and have the Stand-in just tell the truth about everything he (Perdue) has and hasn’t done.

    1. @Goodey Goode I love it when people say “Educate yourself.” That’s so funny. Just say what you mean. “Learn to agree with me and don’t speak until you do.” Educate yourself. Yeah, you’re a real brilliant one.

    2. @Erroneous Monk If that’s what you got out of educating yourself you’re a special kind of stupid. Can’t fix stupid. Another brick in the wall. 🤦🏻‍♀️

    3. @Goodey Goode That’s funny. I’m actually listening to that song RIGHT NOW. My favorite song of all time.

    4. @Goodey Goode But I have one request of you. Educate yourself. Once you do, you’ll find that I’m right about everything. There. See how that works? If you don’t eat your meat, you can’t have any pudding. How can you have any pudding if you don’t eat yer meat?

    5. @Erroneous Monk good for you, wasn’t it funny when trump played it at his rally and Pink Floyd said stop playing our music 😂 hilarious. Like I said, I don’t like going back and forth with people that are brain dead. I love the poorly educated- Trump. Have a great day! Knowing your president will be Biden and Vice President Harris. Eat that up for meat don’t forget to drink water instead of the kool aid. ☮️

    1. Him and all the other Democrats are for the people huh? Yes that’s why 99 percent of the rich elite all back the Democratic ticket, remember Democratic socialism is an ideology designed to work in favor of the rich!

  4. Trump controlled the stocks with everyone of his whims if you dont think he tanked the stocks then bought a bunch then lied to bring the stocks back up.

  5. Of course he is . That’s what all republicans do . It’s there only reason for getting elected. They are only interested in lining their own pockets. Just look at the two republican senators in Georgia. She sold shares back in February when the senate was informed of the consequences of COVID-19 and several of them immediately sold shares that they knew were going to tank once the information became public. That is their hole reason for being. To make themselves rich off the back of hard working Americans. Corrupt treasonous behaviour that needs to be investigated.

    1. Im pretty sure C-SPAN broadcasts senate meetings in real time, what stops anyone in the public sector from watching C-SPAN and selling their stocks I did the same thing in February and I wasn’t watching the senate, just used common sense…

  6. Never vote for a candidate that refuses to debate. They’re like roaches hiding from the light of the public view

    1. He & Trump are trying to put the cheating fix in like they did to our honored QUEEN Stacy Abrams but not this time again…..

  7. He doesn’t want to debate Ossoff…interesting. I agree ban stock trading for Senators -heck all in government — insider trading people.

  8. Never trust anybody who supports the slaughter of the unborn children in the womb.
The demoncrats are wolves in sheep’s clothing
