@Saba Well we all know how Trump feels about women, much less a woman in power. Angela is currently the leader of the free world. With a background in sciences. She took control of her country. They had pushback of course, but most sucked it up, He failed his country on this pandemic. 9 months later there is Still no plan. He has lost interest so, ‘it is what it is’.

He has a whole lot of challenges and if both candidates in Georgia lose, a majority republican senate. That is a brutal position to be in from the start. I do hope that the Senators will soon be able to stop kissing butt and start doing something. Anything.
Science doesn’t have all the answers and Trump and his supporters don’t have anything.

True. Biontech was supported with 450 million Euros by the German government in September. Biontech already had 20 vaccine candidates in March and continued with the one the most promising.
Molly’s experience in NY has become the new reality in El Paso, TX. Bodies are piling up so fast that refrigerated cargo trailers are being used as makeshift morgues, with more being put to use every day.
As a retired firefighter EMT what is happening in my community and all across America is appalling. How was it possible for the most powerful scientifically and industrialized nation to be staggered by a disease that many third world nations have managed with fewer resources yet better success. Even the most basic level of care by an ordinary bystander would excel the levels of our federal governmental response.
The Dark Winter is coming, just on the horizon. We, as a society, must heed the basic policies of stopping the spread of Covid. Wear the best available face mask you can find or afford at all times in public. Maintain the minimum 6′ to 8′ social distancing, even more is always best. Carry hand sanitizer with you in public and use before touching your face or when removing and after removing your mask. Wear long sleeve shirts, long pants and eye glasses to minimize skin and eye exposure. Wash your hands with soap and water and mentally sing the Happy Birthday song while soaping up then again when rinsing. Change clothing as soon as you get home and wash hands.
Yes, it’s a lot to do. As any firefighter can tell you, this isn’t even a basic Level 1 decon procedure that good medical practices require when handling patients with a communicable disease. In reality, every person you encounter in public during a community mass Covid outbreak, must be a suspected carrier.
Finally, be real. Covid is not the flu. Many that contract Covid will be asymptomatic. That does not mean your body will not sustain damage. Your kidneys, liver, heart and lungs can suffer fairly serious damage without any outward signs or symptoms. Only a complete blood labwork panel test can detect those types of damages. Far too many people that tested positive for Covid fail to get blood lab tests, either because they don’t have insurance or they assume they are okay. For many, that could be a very grave mistake. Preventative care can make a real difference in quality of life.
