FURTHERMORE, if this is “deep inside Russian territory” how did Ukrainian or western media get such uncontested access to these “soilders/traitors”? Wouldn’t a bunch of “Russian soilders/traitors” complaining to media outlets about their condition, stick out like a sore thumb since they are “deep” in Russian territory? Would these “Russian soilders/traitors” make themselves immediate targets for retaliation, just so they could complain about their situation? @Z O While ‘bumping’ with a green screen is possible… the level of effort to EXACTLY tailor the background elements when you don’t know EXACTLY which ones are going to be used as ‘markers’ is… well… nearly beyond Hollywood budgets honestly. Getting information out is actually pretty straightforward from the area. The reason? Whatever you may think of Elon Musk his StarLink service is giving anyone with a 4g+ phone Inet access. As to WHY they would do it? When I have read historical fiction novels that talk about the Russian army, in those stories, the Russian soldiers have always been used with low regard for how many died in battle, and have been poorly fed and clothed. In some of the stories in these historical fiction novels many would die of cold. If these novels are drawing on actual history to create realistic fiction – and usually they are generally doing so – then Russia has always treated its soldiers terribly.

@WadiFok Your ae right! The Russian army under Stalin by 1939 had critical issues due to Stalin bloody purge of the high-ranking officers. He realized his terrible errors and was able to overcome it through brutal response to the Nazis’ invasion by sacrificing more men to gain victories. However, present Russian Army is not operating like 1930s Stalin’s systems. The Westerners are so infested with negativities against the Russians after 1945 and spare no time trying to degrade and insult Russians.
@Jingeleg Jingelek They made a huge sacrifice to save Europe from Hitler and save the World from the Nazis and their allies! If not for the Soviet, the British would have lost just like the French and US would not have been able to face the Germans and the Japs at same time because the German U-boats would have cut off the US and isolate them.

Croats have never been against people of the Muslim faith. We should have been allies in the 90-year war against the Serbs who wanted to conquer the country with JNA weapons. In my brigade there were many Muslim Croats who fought just as well as Catholics, Orthodox or others. @Ken Albertsen Thats literally what some russian body armor is though. Half the russian body armor/plates/helmets is literally airsoft replicas. Russia has pleanty of bulletproof vests (outdated, but still rated GOST level 3 or 4), but most of them are getting sold by polititians to warlords in africa. Look it up, theres videos from both sides showing russian body armor that is literally airsoft replicas or cardboard balistic plates

When I was in U.S. military, everything was provided down to socks and underwear, with rules specifying exactly how every item was to be worn/used. No detail left to chance.
Because US fights war constantly, whole economy is built on war, contractors suppliers and unlimited debt.
My cousin was in the Army (just got out after 10 years wanting to start a family) and she told me that they were given ‘basic kit’ at the start of boot camp and then it was ASSUMED they would have lost weight and would need some replacement items of clothing (for females it was the ‘sports bra’ that usually needed replacing as they nearly all went down a size dropping weight). That is how far ahead our logistics are. They not only are prepared to provide the necessary kit that soldiers need they are PRE-PREPARED with it in hand. A conventional conflict between Russia and NATO wouldn’t be just an unfair fight… it wouldn’t even really be a fight.

I’ll share a story, if someone will read it (I won’t be upset if nobody does) … first I’m from Romania 🇷🇴, I stand with my Ukrainian brothers and sisters … since the day I could understand the people around me, I was born in 1990, I’ve always heard the same story from everyone, russian army is unstoppable, it’s well maintained, highly trained and specialized, well equipped and it’s equipment modern and up to standard standards, they always told me if the russians want to invade Europe it will reach Berlin in a week and nobody will be able to stop them, like a steamroller they will cross and conquer Europe from East to West, North to South, I truly believed those claims, I really did and I was afraid and the 24th of February 2022 I believed that they will conquer Ukrainian in 2-3 weeks at maximum … I was wrong and I’m incredibly happy because of that, that fear shattered in the very first few days of this atrocious and bloody WAR, because it’s a WAR not a “special military operation”, NO a WAR started by a man without consciousness, without mercy, without an ounce of dignity, a layer and a thief and I hope he will get what he deserves … I have nothing against the russian people but they are cowards and stand idle while their sons, husbands and fathers die for nothing and they believe everything they are told, ideological indoctrination at its finest, hope one day they will start to wake up … GLORY TO UKRAINE 🇺🇦 AND ITS BRAVE PEOPLE!!!

Ukrainians have proven themselves to be Spartan level warriors who command the upmost respect so this isn’t a comment on them as fighters but imagine if Russia had to fight a country who they didn’t outman, outgun, who had long range strike capability, who had a navy, who had the ability to setup air superiority and have the best in early warning and defensive capabilities? Ukrainian warriors have none of that and still absolutely embarrassed the Russian orcs on the battlefield. With a more evenly matched opponent Russia would be decimated. Remember when they were taken seriously?

The boundaries of the defense lines in the Kherson area have not changed and the Ukrainian military is suffering heavy losses. As of Thursday morning, the situation in Kherson has not changed, despite the Ukrainian military’s attempts to shell the city with HIMARS rockets. The air defenses were at work and repelled four rockets flying towards Kherson. There is no damage in the city.
The Ukrainian military suffered about 50 casualties in battles with the allied forces of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and the Russian army in the past day. Ukrainian military armaments and military hardware were destroyed by joint operations of militia fighters of the Donetsk People’s Republic and the Russian Armed Forces: a 152mm Msta-B howitzer, two tanks (a T-72B and a T-64BV), 11 armored and motor vehicles. They also shot down two enemy unmanned aerial vehicles.
The Ukrainian military suffered about 30 casualties in clashes with forces of the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) in the past day. They destroyed one tank, three armored personnel carriers, and five special motor vehicles.
Most of the best Ukrainian troops are dead. NATO troops and mercenaries are filling in.
My sympathy goes out to the mothers of those Russian soldiers. Victory be with Ukraine 🇺🇦

It’s actually possible for basically an entire country to refuse a war. When the Swedish government threatened to invade Norway to force them to stay in our political union, the Swedish people threatened mutiny in the army and a general strike, resulting in the peaceful dissolution of the union and Norway gaining its rightful independence in 1905 (a referendum in Norway showed 99.9% support for independence). I guess there was still some support for the union here in Sweden but pretty much nobody thought it was worth a military intervention against our friends and neighbors to the west. It’s just a shame this sentiment wasn’t as strong in Russia in relation to Ukraine.
