Funny you should say that, because I said something similar to a Trumper the other day. I was ridiculed, of course, because taking simple safety precautions like wearing a mask means I probably “look under the bed for the boogeyman, too.”
To this I replied:
“I would if the boogeyman were real and killed over 300,000 people.”
And, yeah–some of these people are the same brave refuse-to-wear-a-mask souls who can’t walk into the local ice cream parlor without a gun strapped to their waist and one on the ankle.
“I NEED TO CARRY A GUN AT ALL TIMES! THERE’S DANGER EVERYWHERE, OKAY? EVERYWHERE!!”

However, WE are also to blame for our lack of action in voting, in listening to the words being said and not responding with the truth, in not correcting the misinformation that was and is still being spread by people like Rush Limbaugh. We need education, and action to correct this and we cannot sit on our duffs and whine and get it done. Agreed. It’s sad that we are using REP vs. DEM as factor rather than hold our government accountable to fight for the people that they serve. Not to protect the rich so they stay rich.
