  1. There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there always has been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that “my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.”

    1. @freedom fighterif you’re an old school republican I can respect that, I condemn violence from left & right, just hope GOP gets back on track. 🫱🏽‍🫲🏼

  2. To stay mentally healthy, spiritually healthy keep your ego in check and stay in your middle. It’s all about balance!

    1. I deal with deep depression everyday, while working a full on very demanding 9 to 5 day job. Mental health has nothing to do with morals and decency. I feel so bad all the time and I for one dont hate any race or want to say or do anything antisemitic etc If anything, mental health issues make us more sympathetic to others cuz we feel so much pain everyday, sometimes for absolutely no reason (other than brain chemistry) whereas people like victims of racism feel pain because of others.

  3. It would be useful to know why the media insist on giving this person so much attention. Surely there are many interesting things out there to explore instead of focusing on the likes of West and Trump.

  4. He’s a billionaire he can say and do what he wants. There’s no racism or discrimination amongst billionaires, that’s for us poor people to keep divided so we don’t learn how to become billionaires too. Anybody who advocates and takes this bait are doing precisely what they want you to do

  5. It’s so interesting to me with this whole ‘cancel culture’ nonsense. Someone says people should stop doing business with so and so because they’re antisemitic. The ‘right’ will both argue cancel culture is a ‘woke’ movement and they’re against it, while at the same time will bend over backwards to say the things coming out of Trump’s mouth are totally fine and protected first amendment speech. Do words even have meaning anymore? Sometimes I wonder 🤔

    1. First time I remember someone trying to cancel someone it was Laura Ingraham demanding a boycott against some left business ( been years and I do not remember who it was against, but I always find it funny when she whines about them being used against her. What is good for the goose is good for the gander)

Not saying she was the first, but she is certainly the first I remember. Both sides have the RIGHT to boycott, but in the US the left has a larger majority and thus the right is going to lose if they want to play the game like they have been. Give it 50 years and it may be different, but from What I am seeing RIGHT NOW, the right is full of fascists and religious bigots that want total control…So Yeah ( I’m independent) I am going to vote/support the people trying to keep the religious fascist out of power. We have control through voting, but we also have control by what we say and a boycott is exactly that…speech with your money and purchase choices.

  6. Interesting approach to ‘entertainment,’ that Granderson talks about. I can see that he’s WAY more into music than I am and has probably gotten a lot more out of it than me. Just HOW do you stop liking an artist, who’s work has always been a powerful force in your life? I’m wondering if it isn’t better to enJOY, while you can also be critical of someone like Ye. A lot of people are doing it, so why would you need involve yourself too deeply into what people are saying, when you are this HUGE fan? Being a fan doesn’t stop, when the person, you admire, hits rock bottom or something. And. Just as you can say West is this insensitive, selfish dude, who doesn’t feel he can be held accountable for anything because of his success in life. You can also realize that you can still listen to him, by reminding yourself that dude is bi-polar. You know? That one word and you can get all excited about West’s next album or puffer coat or Yeezy’s. AND. Call him a moron. If that’s what you choose to do. For all concerned, anything that comes out of Ye’s mouth has a ‘doctor’s note’ attached to it. THAT is why he’s one of the luckiest people alive. Talent and the perfect ‘excuse.’

    1. @Bigfoot USA LMAO if they were priceless everybody would have a copy and they wouldn’t have had to pay for them. Most of today’s kids don’t even know who those people are and haven’t for like 20 years. It’s only priceless if that’s the type of music that you like. They ain’t priceless to me just hella old.

  7. Claiming or asserting that something is art or someone is an artist doesn’t excuse racism, anti-semitism, sexism, or hate speech or a provocative piece of music. Do we excuse the use of Wagner’s imagery to promote fascism in the 1930s? No, of course not. Likewise, we shouldn’t throw West the crutch of his work being art. Honestly, we must be consistant.

  8. I have no say or emotions on the issue but Kanye is a perfect example of a person with “F” “U” money

  9. It’s a slippery slope. It means that all communities without exceptions should accept open hate speech on their own race, religion and/or Genre and not feel offended. That’s an insane battle to begin with.

  10. Why does he need to apologize?
If you want to know who rules over you, just find out who you can’t criticize.

  11. If he says they own everything, then they cut him off from everything, then doesn’t that prove his point?? Just sayin

    1. He is way too intergated at this point for them to completely cut him off, that is the brilliant part of his timing with all of this

  12. He is the GOAT! Cracks me up all the soft people sweating what Ye says. People like Puff and media folk freaking out because they know he’s speaking the truth. Get off Ye’s d. Keep doing you Ye.

  13. I wish I could talk to Kanye. I would sit and try and actually understand where he is coming from. Instead of judging and casting him as mental. Hurt people hurt people and thank goodness for freedom of speech. Not everyone will agree. You cannot cancel someone because he disagrees. What happened to agree to disagree.

  14. At the end of the day, the fact that anyones actually analyzing what he said completely misses the point. The dudes clearly sick. If some crazy person is in the street screaming the end is coming, you don’t do a cnn interview with someone to refute the points in their psychotic rant. You say, “wow I feel bad for that deranged person”. It’s no different if that person is a billionaire or eccentric musician.
