Kornacki Crunches Numbers From New York City Mayoral Race | MSNBC

    1. @Top Hat he is the most qualified mayor for the City of New York and perhaps any City in the nation.

20 years on the police force Rose through the ranks from police officer to Sergeant to Lieutenant to Captain
Elected to the State House as a representative and elected two terms as the chief executive for Brooklyn County.

Additionally he has three academic degrees an associate’s degree a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree

      There is your resume.

  1. A Black man got elected as mayor of one of the biggest cities in the world, here in the United States. Let that sink in.

    1. @Shockked okay, MSNBC, or any one of the left controlled media. They are all the same, the specific source isn’t all that important

    2. @Joey Tomko I have never watched the news in my life. It’s all propaganda made by the elite. How about you stop watching Fox News and Newsmax? You’re getting brainwashed by the media.

    3. @Summit Trading moving out in droves moving in in larger droves.

The city is 8 million strong — how many are in your city

    1. Yes, but with ranked choice you don’t need the overhead cost of a runoff because the ranking accomplishes that.

    1. Based on what?

If she didn’t do that last-minute bit of trickery with Yang she would not have come in second place.

Eric Adams provoked Yang to the extent that Yang went out for blood.

  2. Stop calling ranked choice “complicated”; you’re priming peoples opinions before you inform them. ranked choice is the best way to break out of our two party system.

    1. For real. Just explain the thing, it’s really not that complicated and has so many benefits. You can vote for who you really believe in without having to compromise for the lesser evil!

    2. @Sidhu Alluri it is very very complicated especially if you want to be strategic.

What Yang did towards the end of campaigning almost upset the apple cart.

He said vote for me first and vote for her in second place, if every candidate did the same strategy it would still come out fair but if only one person does it it actually tips the scale.
If you remember Yang tried to do it with two people — ironically enough the two people that ended up being second and third, so that if he was at least able to come in second or third the votes for that other person that came in fourth would propel him to second, then the vites from the second would push him to first.

So the alliance pairings (gang voting) can remove the more individually popular candidate.

As you can see it almost worked

  3. Best choice from an interesting lot ? Do you really think ANY OF THEM can turn the City around ? Lots of Luck ! How complex. System could you come up with / how easy to Bend Results 🤔

    1. The city has 8 million people it is the largest city in America there are over two billion people in public schools alone

nothing comes easy or fast in New York City, change is usually slow and measured not radical.

Anything done in a radical way won’t last

  4. “If we will not be governed by God, we must be governed by tyrants.” William Penn

  5. Now I know who this guy is. He’s the ex cop who knows all the slogans and buzzwords and has done the rounds on all the TV politics shows. Oh man, NYC just elected a cop who talks the cop talk. Oh man I can see some civil rights just about to be stepped on while smiling and spouting slogans.

    1. True
But you’re also forgetting he was elected to office for the last 10 years

His vocabulary has graduated to a new level

  6. Jesus Christ saves from sin.
    Romans 3: 23
    For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
    Hebrews 9: 27
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
    Isaiah 64: 6
But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
    Revelation 21: 8
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
    Romans 5: 8
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
    John 3: 16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
    John 14: 6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
    Romans 10: 9-10.
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
    Jesus said John 5: 24
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
    1John 5: 10-13
He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
    Ephesians 2: 8-9
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.
    Romans 8: 1
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
    1 Corinthians 15: 3-4
    For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
    2 Corinthians 5: 21
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
