    1. I closed my eyes and imagined her singing it while pole dancing on a flagpole… it brought tears to my eyes and wetness to my winky at the same time…

    1. @Mario Off-Topic uh, Republicans aren’t statists, they don’t believe in big government so fascism.is big government, the left on the other hand are the party of big governments and government institutions unionized against the people which is fascism, on the statist scale and then they are supported by the corporate scale, tech, Hollywood etc, the left is also state-run-media which the left owns 96% of the media, that includes Hollywood. They also use the mussolini philosophy of “the club of Rome” which is the symbol and philosophy of statist fascism and demogougery over the masses. Yes, the corporate media, the fascists. And they will command the ists and ism’s to demogouge over the people and gaslight them to no end, and double down on any lie and propaganda.

    1. @j jr any form of violence should not be tolerated no matter who or what group of people it comes from.

  1. “My Whole Soul Is in It”
    by Steven F Gooden

My whole soul is in it. Not a piece or a part but with all my heart. My whole soul is in it. Not for fame, fortune, vengeance or guilt, but for passion, charity, vision and will. My whole soul is in it, whether I live or whether I die, win or lose, do or try, my whole soul is in it. For what less could I give, when given so much, all those who came before me, their sacrifice my crutch, their legacy their touch upon not part of me but all of me, for my whole soul is in it.

    1. @Jasper Martin isn’t just what you do but what you don’t do. Not just what you did but how you did it. Not just what you said but how you said it. Love is so simple yet the simple make it so hard. Love Is full of knowledge yet even the smart don’t get it. Love doesn’t cost a fortune yet fortunes are spent trying to gain it. Love does demand of you yet you are not willing to sacrifice for it. Those who only seek what love can give and do for them, do nothing for love and others and in such selfish pursuit, in turn rob themselves of love’s best gift. Make this year the year you seek to sow love and not just reap it. Be love and not just think it. Do love and not just say it. Talk love and just don’t fake it. Seek love and just don’t chase it. Embrace it but don’t enslave it, share it but don’t dare boast in it. Enjoy it but don’t abuse it. Free it and watch it come back. Invest in it and watch it pay back. Wash your life in it, light your darkness with it, eat your food with it conduct your business with it and above all else Serve God in it. For whatever love is and is not, it’s all of, for and From Him. He is LOVE! ”

  2. Killed it just as we all expected. Definitely within the ten greatest National Anthem renditions of all-time list

    1. Well when you’re a white supremacist or a white supremacist wannabe you tend to love your white supremacist country.

  3. She nailed that. The anthem, the outfit, everything.

With Amanda Gorman’s beautiful poem, there were lots of messages of hope today.
I’m a former US resident from the UK, and am wishing America the very best. You’re a great country with a lot to be proud of.

    1. Thank you very much Nathan, that means a lot especially given the embarrassing shambles that trump left us in.

    2. Thank you so much for your kind words. Many of us are fully aware as to how the last four years have appeared to the rest of the world. The support and kindness is so greatly appreciated. I extend warm sentiments and well wishes to the UK and its citizens.

  4. I think the song moved ME more when she about “the flag was still there”, and not since 9/11 have I cried hearing the song. We are LUCKY and I thankful!

    1. @DsWP Keep whining. Its more than obvious you forgot that Georgia will also file lawsuit to him regarding to his infamous phone recording with state governor. Oh yes, one more thing, you may love his ‘american first’ policy during his era. Because china loves it too. That policy has making US goods incredibly uncompetitive in global markets, making china become more easier to take over global markets from US possesion. Even Asia Pacific countries now managed to make a lucrative trade partnership between Adia Pacific countries without have to including US as one of the participants. What a sad and isolating america has become during orange glob era.

  5. Lady Gaga sang THE NATIONAL ANTHEM with such Zest and Style, that she made me feel Proud to be a Resident of the United states of America. Her rendition was extraordinary!!!!

    1. @Gagaga Gigigi she’s been tested and everyone around her was wearing one. She wore one when traveling to and from the venue. How could she sing with a mask on? Use your head.

    1. Eh, I am American and honestly it’s just a really catchy tune. Strictly speaking, it represent our war-hawking foreign policy and reiterates that, despite all the reasons to the contrary and poor decisions, this nation still exists?

Maybe you’ll need to explain what it can mean to me. I think most Americans don’t actually get it either. We’re all still arguing over what “freedom” really means for us.

  6. *We’re beyond lucky to still have our Republic. This song only reminded me to always be grateful we still have a country…*

  7. She looks like a denizen of the Capital cosplaying as Katniss Everdeen… and not seeing any irony in that whatsoever.
