The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating a leaked audio recording of councilmembers that led to the resignation of Nury Martinez.

Leadership behind the second most-populous city in the country was in a state of uncertainty as the Los Angeles City Council's former president, Nury Martinez, resigned in disgrace after audio leaked of her using racist language.
The development happened after Martinez, a rising star in California politics, already announced she was taking a leave of absence and resigned her post leading the 15-member body. The announcement came hours after a rowdy city council meeting ended with protesters drowning out officials. They demanded all officials on the recording resign. "It is with a broken heart that I resign my seat for Council District 6, the community I grew up in and my home," Martinez said in a statement.
In the recording obtained by the Times, Martinez could be heard making racist statements about a white councilmember's child, saying her colleague, Mike Bonin, “handled his young Black son as though he were an accessory" and describing the colleague's son in Spanish as “like a monkey.”

A waste of time and a waste of money what is criminal is the lack of medical infrastructure in South LA that’s a crime that needs to be addressed
I repeat there is no medical infrastructure in South LA all hospitals are on the outskirts there are no freestanding hospitals in South LA proper and this was done purposely

This has shown the new KGB are the Police, FBI, etc
Police responded to someone saying “He gave me the meanest look I ever saw”
I was amazed the police would waste time and resources responding to such a stupid complaint.
So I asked them why? “we respond to all calls”.. no they don’t.
Wasting time investigating ‘eavesdropping’ when California law says ONLY one party involved has to be aware of the recording. Wasn’t remote eavesdropping
