  1. There must be justice and accountability for all those responsible for the insurrection on our Capitol. America will not let it slide. No one gets a pass.

  2. Justice and accountability is exactly what is needed. No one is above the law. Trump deserves an orange jumpsuit.

    1. Yes, but don’t hold your breath waiting, while USA has been asleep it’s justice system and its systems of political checks and balances have both been rendered into a sad joke.

    2. It is going to be very interesting how it plays out..As usual our Government and Court System moves at a snail pace..I really would like to see Trump in an Orange jumpsuit before he dies…As funny as seeing the X-First Lady in Orange Pumpkin Dress, leaving Air Force One for last time….

    3. Fine each of the 4 defendants $500 million and use the proceeds to A. compensate victims, and B. to fund a new building in D.C. dedicated to teaching about democracy (history, heroes, etc).

  3. None of the Republican members of Congress who incited the violence or voted against the certification of the Electoral College vote should receive a penny!

    1. No of course not! The seditious congressmen and women need to be sued too! They need to pay$$$ I myself was traumatized watching it go down live on YouTube! I may want them to pay for my therapy! I saw these guilty coconspirator congressmen refusing to wear masks, smirking while others terrorized!

  4. And then Main Justice can sue Trump and the other speakers at the Trump Insurrection Rally for the federal costs incurred in responding to the event including damages and security costs. This will be billions of dollars.

    1. Yes, & the loss of potential income for those who were injured & hospitalized. Also, any potential PTSD from the traumatic experiences of that day.

    2. @Marci Lee Nelson-Murray also the extra cost of protecting the Capitol against future terrorist attacks

    3. Can’t let The trump clan, Mo Brooks, Giuliani, Hawley and Cruz off the hook….. make them pay…. People died and were traumatized that day…

  5. This is the most important lawsuit in the history of the United States.

    1. Fine each of the 4 defendants $500 million and use the proceeds to A. compensate victims, and B. to fund a new building in D.C. dedicated to teaching about democracy (history, heroes, etc). Suggested name: Center For Study Of Democracy (CSD).

    2. It’s a civil suit not criminal so even though it’s serious, it’s not going to land him in jail.

    1. @Nancy Ross Yeah they are since they still are funding emails and evidence of their crime. That’s why Flynn was pardoned by Trump because they framed him. Hillary paid for the dossier and was behind a lot of what went on during Russiagate. It’s still being investigated.

    2. @Debra Johnson You appear to have a fixed mind, so l doubt anything l say in contradiction will probably be dismissed by you. Are you aware that by accepting a pardon, one is confirming their guilt? It is true. Flynn was caught giving confidential information to both Russia and Turkey, and he was being paid very well. The dossier to which you refer was ordered by the far right Heritage Foundation. The didn’t like the results. Hillary bought it, as the Republicans would have had the tables been turned. It was learned that when Hillary Clinton sent the emails, the contents were not classified. Some were later classified. There is no current e-mail investigation of the Clintons. Ivanka and Jared used private e-mail transmissions from their private phones. They have both since reported them since the discovery. The only part of the election that was stolen was 45’s attempts to change the vote count in several states, most notably in Georgia Biden was elected President November 3rd and was inaugurated, as set forth in the Constitution January 20, 2021. You may not like the results. However, in a democracy the majority rules. l did not like 45, but he was my president once he was inaugurated. Biden is now your president. Try and support him. So far, impressive legislation for the PEOPLE has been passed. Vaccinations are up and Covid cases are down. To my mind, this is progress.

    3. @Cant Believe That is called censoring and is against the 1st amendment. What right do you have to tell others what hate speech is or misinformation while engaging in the same thing. It’s hypocrisy and it’s not lawful.

  6. I saw this broadcast. Tribe is saying what I said about 2-3 weeks ago and I never went to Harvard or Yale law school. I said what happens if all of the people injured in the Capitol assault filed individual law suits. TROUBLE for somebody.

    1. This is bigger than Trump. This should bring those responsible for the insurrection to account. This is the road to restoring credibility for politicians whom don’t kowtow before Trump. Trump needs to claim insanity to contest this action

    1. I read the 60+ pages of the complaint. He’s doing it right. If mentions compensation for everyone (other than rioters) who were harmed, physically or mentally.

  7. Trump asked these people to stop the vote and because he is Trump he thinks it’s alright. Lock him up. No other person would get away with this. No one.

    1. The victims are the entire population of the country, the people at work that day, and the bipartisan support of Congress.

    2. 10 months of destruction and there livelihood destroyed but that’s ok with you . I’m one of them

    3. @Eric Klaus Just because people are talking about trump’s actions in this thread doesn’t mean that they are ok with riots and looting. Pull your head out.

    4. @Eric Klaus I am not. The government used to be there to help people. Under Republican rule, it has been there to help corporations rather than living, breathing human beings who are suffering. A government official in Australia described the way those governing should view their office. To paraphrase: We in government are there no serve those who elected us. We are not there to enrich ourselves. That was the vision the Foundin Fathers had for this country. The Republican party has made their type of governing a very bad joke.

    5. @Nancy Ross please read the constitution and what the federal government is BY law what it’s to do when you do and I hope you do! That is why. we live in the United STATES) of America

  8. January 6th was a horrifying day with the Capital being seiged because of Donald Trump refusing to accept the results of a fair election. I hope that the resolve gives all those affected that day a large amount of compensation. These insurrectionists need prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

    1. @Move on Over so nasty and so amusing because you are exactly what people think of as a trump supporter

    2. @Move on Over so nasty and so amusing because u are exactly what people think of as a trump supporter

    3. ….with no access to phones or digital devices. After all, he used those items to implement his crimes. Would you imprison a slasher with knives?

  9. Accountability. Insurrection. Prosecute to the fullest extent of the law. No one is above the law. 🌃

    1. @Cant Believe civil disobedience and outright treason are totally different things.
while we’re here, want to buy a bridge?

  10. Include the members of congress who were trying to overthrow the votes along with Trump, the involved police, Pentagon officers stalling national guard, and everyone supporting the big lie and encouraging mob to attack. They should all pay until too broke or jailed to do more.

  11. No president should be above the law, and, even more importantly, no president should be above justice.

    1. Donald Trump is not a president. He is the King of his republican party and his cult’s followers.

    2. @Cant Believe I have a question for you. How far are you going to follow your mad King Trump down the rabbit hole. You know Donald Trump is a con man and Trump took a path toward authoritarianism, right? Or you don’t care!
